What an outrageous and irresponsible thing to say.
Even elected officials HERE who I strongly dislike need to be protected from the rabble, and offenders need to be prosecuted to the maximum permitted by law. Anything less leads to anarchy.
Hopefully, the equivalent of their Secret Service will allow somebody to explain this to the PM with a turd pie to the face.

Morrison is being dragged away from conservative stances by our wonderfully objective and unbiased media. He is toast at the next fed election. His correct response, should have been ‘I do not agree with the senator's views on the NZ mosque massacre. Having said that, I do not agree that politicians in this country can be assaulted due to their contrary-an opinions. And I see the senator's response to being assaulted as self defense.

The teenager slapped the egg hard into the back of the Senator’s head from behind. The Senator slapped the teenager from the front the next instant as an immediate response. Not sure the Senator had time to even realize there was an egg involved, he likely only knew he had been hit from behind.
