Customs and Border Protection told DailyMail.com that no new border wall has been erected
President Trump has boasted that he has built new walls, a claim that appears untrue given CBP's statement on the record
All the construction along the border to date has consisted of replacement and 'secondary' fencing
DailyMail.com asked CBP to identify where border walls exist in places where nobarriers existed on Inauguration Day 2017
A spokesman conceded that '[t]he first new wall project, where no barrier currently exists, is anticipated to start in April'

I’m a huge fan of Trump, but I learned very early on to ignore what he says, and focus on what he does.
It’s not his fault, except for signing Paul Ryan’s Omnibus Spending bill.
“I’m speechless”
Big Media has undertaken a major offensive lately and appreciates that response, but would have preferred something harsher.
Play on words..NEW...vs redoing old sections.
Big media can say what they want.
He either has built NEW walls where none were before, and several of his comments STRONGLY suggest that, or he hasn’t.
I love Trump.
I don’t like being lied to or given half truths.
Understand the splitting of hairs here.
The press and MSM is focusing on “new” as in nothing existed prior. What they don’t want you to look at is where marginal and damaged fences have been replaced with WALLS.
I am of the opinion that if you replace a section that only has 3 strands of barbed wire or maybe a flimsy corrugated pannel with a wall, it is a new wall.
Sort of depends on how one defines the word “new” doesn’t it?
Putting up a replacement for a dilapidated section could be construed as building new, sturdier, walls.
Complete msm BS. There have been miles of new wall put up, there’s video all over youtube showing it. Replacing vehicle barriers that can be stepped over with a 30’ wall is new wall. Not to mention wall out in the desert that has been added. Never Trumpers, bitter POSs can’t do anything bit bitch, wishing hillary had won.
A 90% finished wall is like a 90% finished bridge. And there’s no evidence we’re even close to 90% done.
I stopped at Daily Mail
Come on.
I’ve watched numerous videos of wall being put into the ground. I’m reluctant to believe this.
Play on words..NEW...vs redoing old sections.

Any way you look at it, the fault lies on those opposing the wall.
This is a problem. Is Trump telling the truth or not?
I am a bottom line kind of a person.
To me the bottom line is this: Is there anything that the President can do that won’t be overruled by a lefty judge, usually in the Ninth Circuit.
Build the wall, don’t build the wall, what good is any of it if some judge rules that wall or no wall we must allow asylum seekers to enter with impunity? We have a problem in this country and, if nothing else, Trump has exposed it. We have a permanent government that could care the less about what the people who choose the elected government want.
The permanent government is gonna do what they gonna do and just say to you and I “screw you.”
As for new or old wall, it doesn’t matter if the old wall sucks. The old walls were usually built at the areas that needed them the most. If they want to start by upgrading there, I am for it.
Makes total sense. The existing walls being replaced with NEW walls were put where they were most needed in the first place.
Yeah, okay, fake news.
