Text: North Korea (key negotiator) Ms. Choe Hee-hee: "We Are Now Considering Stopping Negotiations with the US"
Article by Chosun Ilbo Reporter Kim Nam-hee
Sub point: Choi states: "It will soon be decided if Kim Jong Un will continue to maintain a nuclear or missile moratorium,"
"(SOS) Mike Pompeo and (NSC) John Bolton are the ones to have created hostility and mistrust."
"It will soon be decided if Kim Jong Un will continue to maintain a nuclear or missile moratorium and the DPRK State Council leadership is now considering putting a halt to de-nuclearization talks with the United States"
"We have no intention of making any kind of concession to the demands of the United States," Choi said in a meeting with foreign diplomats and diplomats in Pyongyang on Friday, March 15.
Choi said, "The United States last month issued a golden opportunity at the Hanoi summit between Kim Jong-un and President Donald Trump." North Korea has no intention of compromising or continuing dialogue unless the United States takes steps that correspond to North Korea's measures. We will change the calculation. "
Choi added, "Kim Jong-un will soon announce an official statement on North Korea's future action plan after the second summit of North and South Korea in Hanoi." She put the blame squarely on two men serving the president.
"President Trump was more willing to talk, but Secretary of State Pompeo and National Security Adviser Bolton made it clear that there was no more dialogue," Choi said.

NeverTrumping should be a criminal offense on FR.
Looks like Kim just got everything he wanted and needs from China and Russia. So there is no need to give up anything.
He has skillfully run around the UN sanctions with Russia and China help, yes, big time, with ship to ship transfers, arms sales to Middle East, extensive cybercrime, Chinese land transport in. They are not hurting nearly as much as they were one or two years ago. Everything has been so relaxed and made full of holes as a result of detente with Seoul and Washington, which Seoul under that commie Pres Moon Jae In is fully responsible for kicking off early last year. Brilliant stroke by Pyongyang to have played it for awhile, or as far as they could. It was bound to unravel as it was not built upon anything substantive nor sincere. Just more of the same dishonesty and paranoia in Kims world.

You’re right. This pattern of behavior is SOP for NK. They’ll make some noise, launch a few SRBMs, maybe even a MRBM or IRBM. If they’re really pushing they’ll loft one over Japan and they’ll conduct another nuclear test. Although you have to wonder just how much weapons grade material they have and how much inventory they can squander on showmanship. Then again, that may be the primary purpose of their nuclear program - not so much to ever actually use it, but more as big fireworks to be brought out and detonated as negotiating tools.
do not take counsel of your fears
you have no clue
Neither of those guys could have beaten Hillary. Wed be 2 years into HRCs first term.
< shudders>
yes
comply or starve
Put a bullet in Kims head. Problem solved.
Just negotiation talk - nothing more.
Oh but wait...everything happening here in the USA tells the world that TRUMPS own country, his govt, even his OWN party is neutering him, so why in the hell would anyone else in the world have any confidence in what he says???
He is being totally undermined by his own govt and party and all for the world to see and we the people are getting f’ed!!
RELEASE WHATEVER YOU HAVE TRUMP AND SHOW EVERYONE THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT WE REALLY HAVE DAMMIT - GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A lot of the posters seem to have never played “chicken”.
This is a posture for the Generals, for the NK people, maybe for China or maybe orchestrated by China. The point is to show Kim did not lose face. Meanwhile China is getting pressured by tariffs & NK by sanctions. The movement will come from the Chinese & NK not from DJT. In a week or two a new statement will emerge with a desire to resume talks.
Soooo unexpected.
Gosh, it’s like they’re playing a game or something..!
Who ever would have thought THAT...?
It’s almost like “sheets of flame and burning sea of righteous fire..!”-talk or something.
I wonder if they’ll ask for cash and trains of food, huh..?
Time to hit that little prick with biggest sanctions ever...on any and all Chinese entities that so much as email him.
Another form of “threat” by the childish folks in North Korea that like to throw a tantrum when they don’t get what they want. The decision, if made as expected, is, to the North, just part of their negotiating style and tactics. It won’t work with Trump & Bolton.
Seemingly unknown is if Kim actually has the power to act against the will of very old men in positions of power, of opposition. These old men would be the north Korean conservatives, the force that can not tolerate any change.
These old men believe that they can act as always, come to the table, make some promises, take the concession money, revert to the status quo.
Also unknown is if Kim wants to maintain the status quo or if he genuinely wants to bring bout change. President Trump gave Kim the benefit of the doubt until the meeting in Hanoi.
I think it was these old men that lost face in Hanoi
But, I do not know
You could put never trumpers in that category too!
That’s the way I see it. It think there is a pretty big internal struggle with in the leadership. If NK backs off it’s military, especially nuclear, a lot of military big shots won’t have a job. They are trying to preserve the status quo. Kim not so much.
Hit the Chinese with stiffer trade policies for their meddling. Keep hitting the Chinese for the NK problem; they are responsible.
No, Kim is the most coherent one, it’s the entrenched military that’s the problem.
