I keep telling my kids that the world has been “about to end in 12 years” for the entirety of my 57 years on this earth.
If someone tells you that the world is going to end in 6 years it quickly becomes obvious if their science if flawed. If they tell you it’s going to end in 24 years you’ll probably not get too worked up about it, that’s a long ways off.
12 years seems to be the magic length of time for maximum political impact of “science”.

First of all, we are still in a major glaciation period - the Quaternary (A time period characterized by cyclic transcontinental glaciations!). What have experienced for the last 20,000 years is a warming lull. That will change!
So there will be another Ice Age (major glaciation) it’s a matter of when!
Why would ANY sane person take into account the opinions, musings and questions from children? It simply blows my mind! Children know NOTHING!
