Science is not yet able to predict a single earthquake with specificity, nor the precise path of a famine or disease. How can they predict a hugely more complex event?

I was doing research on the status of various contries. Sierra Leone was at or near the bottom in so many of the various rankings - famine, etc. Our church was just bagging up meals for a village in Sierra Leone the other week.

They showed the slides of starving kids, and kids getting the meals, etc.

I told the folks at our little group that the reason they are so bad off is they had a lousy government, and the tribal wars. Education is so low because of the violence they shut down schools for the last 15 years! So how are you going to run a country with folks with no education?

They all thought it was the weather or climate or whatever. It is the governments in those places. The current president of Sierra Leone is trying, but he talks about the lack of education, the briberies, etc. Almost all of these poor countries have crap governments, but it gets blamed on “climate change” or something.

I’m surprised the blackout in Venezuela hasn’t been blamed on a warmer summer due to climate change!
