As reported by The Free Thought Project, lawmakers in Texas have introduced a gun sanctuary bill that would apply to the entire state. If it passes, it would essentially nullify nearly all federal gun control laws within the state:
Sen. Bob Hall (R-Edgewood) filed Senate Bill 378 (SB378) on January 17. The bill would prohibit any state government agency, personnel or public funds from enforcing any federal gun control regulation or law if the federal statute, order, rule, or regulation or international law imposes a prohibition, restriction, or other regulation, such as a capacity, size, or configuration limitation, that does not exist under the laws of this state.
Legal opinions on this are likely to be all over the place, and of course, the Democrat Left will decry this bill as the first step toward anarchy. But by any legitimate measure, weve already reached that point.
Despite the Constitutions Supremacy Clause, . . .

Yay Texas....A first step to nationhood!
That will make the weenies in Austin poop themselves.
The left forced homosexual marriage nationwide by using the Constitution as a wedge. They legalized such marriages in Massachusetts and then sent those new couples around to sue for recognition of a lawful status in one state on all other states. Gun advocates should proceed likewise by having folks in highly permissive states move into restrictive ones, like Massachusetts, and sue for recognition of their lawfully permitted status.
“...lawmakers in Texas have introduced a gun sanctuary bill that would apply to the entire state.”
We used to have the 2nd Amendment to do that for us until the meaning of the phrase “the right to bear arms shall not be infringed” became hidden in a penumbra.
It re-asserts States rights, puts the feds on notice. From here they could go after other issues the feds are apparently afraid-to or unable-to address: border security, voter fraud. Go Texas, lead the way.
It turns the left's tactics against them. Not that this would prevent the left from virulently attacking the Texas law. Hypocrisy and double standards have never been a problem for the left, they live and breath them.
To call this act amateurish is foolish.
By passing this law, Texas like California has seceded from the union. The lines for the civil war are clearly established.
Rolling further down to a civil war.
Our problem is not on the border,it’s in DC. We either secede or die from the cancer that’s killing the country.
Or alternatively, we go to war and kill the offensive left wingers and maintain what is left of the Union
Attack, attack, attack.....

Unlike Kalifornistan, Texas was once an independent country.
We have 535 King Georges. Tyrants with their foot on our neck.
Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters

Your analysis lacks insight in that you seem to think that there are a limited number of problems that need to be addressed. The Democrats are attacking on several fronts - open borders and legalizing voter fraud are two important Democrat attacks on freedom that you address; however, the Democrats are also relentlessly trying to gut the 2nd amendment which also needs addressing.
Brotha Art(HPD) will be so crestfallen. The man has never met a gun control law he wasn’t enamored of or a crisis that he can’t twist to suit his anti-gun agenda.
I hear ya. Couldnt agree more.
Ohboyohboyohboy! It’s beginning!
Who are they trying to kid? We can’t even get Constitutional Carry here in Texas.
