As reported by The Free Thought Project, lawmakers in Texas have introduced a gun sanctuary bill that would apply to the entire state. If it passes, it would essentially nullify nearly all federal gun control laws within the state:
Sen. Bob Hall (R-Edgewood) filed Senate Bill 378 (SB378) on January 17. The bill would prohibit any state government agency, personnel or public funds from enforcing any federal gun control regulation or law if the federal statute, order, rule, or regulation or international law imposes a prohibition, restriction, or other regulation, such as a capacity, size, or configuration limitation, that does not exist under the laws of this state.
Legal opinions on this are likely to be all over the place, and of course, the Democrat Left will decry this bill as the first step toward anarchy. But by any legitimate measure, weve already reached that point.
Despite the Constitutions Supremacy Clause, . . .

Go Texas!
Yes; absolutely.
Amateurish political grandstanding, or more accurately, a solution in search of a problem. We have much bigger fish to fry in Texas, and this kind of preemptive political posturing only serves as an untimely and unnecessary distraction. We need to close our border now if the feds won’t, and aggressively investigate and prosecute voter fraud, or Texas will become a Blue State.
Stand by for Red Flag event in Texas... mass shooter programming taking place now. Which lib city will they turn the person loose in? Austin? Houston? ...
Let's hope all states (or most of them grab onto this).
Go Texas!
God Bless Texas!!!!
Feds may have a problem With armed public outside the zone running to the sounds of gunfire.
What’s good for the goose...
What an amazing way to make a point.
The supreme law of the land has died and leftists with their illegal immigration, sanctuary cities and finding all kinds of rights never written in the Constitution, like on demand abortion, have killed it.
JoMa
Every citizen shall have the right to keep and bear arms in the lawful defense of himself or the State; but the Legislature shall have power, by law, to regulate the wearing of arms, with a view to prevent crime. Article 1 - BILL OF RIGHTS
Section 23 - RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS
Wanna block the border. Send a minority of Texas gun owners as a posse down there. Let them shoot at invaders as they step on the sovereign land of Texas
Were being INVADED. That fact hasnt sunk in, in Washington.
The case would likely go rabidly to the Supreme Court, perhaps as a matter of original jurisdiction. The question would be how to set it up so that the leftist on the Supreme Court would be put in a position where their hypocrisy would be exposed in supporting sanctuary but opposing the Second Amendment.
If nothing else, this at least demonstrates the folly of sanctuary cities for immigration and state legalizing drugs that are prohibited by federal law. The SCOTUS will have to decide the issue of state sovereignty when it collides with federal supremacy. We already know what the constitution says..
The glorious spirit of “Come and take it” is alive and well in Texas. May it always be so. Amen.
I have long thought that Governor Abbott should call on all Texans with LTC’s and hunting licenses to volunteer to be deputized and deployed along the border. He would be overrun with volunteers, including me. The problem would be support logistics.
“...Amateurish political grandstanding...”
Respectfully disagree with you... it’s Actually brilliant.
Yes, the border IS a problem. But this is just shoving the Left’s “sanctuary” tactics back in their faces, and with something that absolutely lose their minds about.
They hate the fact that we have firearms. This makes their heads explode even more while recognizing the Right to keep and bear arms.
