Sounds good to me too. I like having the extra hour of daylight at end of the day.

Yeah, but it's not fair to those who like the extra hour at the beginning of the day.

Maybe we could compromise and just have DST for half the year. Set the clocks forward in Spring and in Fall set them back.

; )

The Washington State Legislature has just recently passed a bill making Daylight Savings Time permanent. It still has to go through the state senate and get Federal approval. However, if it goes through, and we just made our last time change. I’m all for it.

Think about how important in the past it’s been to change WHEN we change the time.

All the politicians’ hi-tech buddies then get to sell soft/firm-ware to facilitate the change to when the time is changed.

Interesting history here, seems to recently only happen during Republican administrations, unless they were precipitated by Rats earlier.

I’d go along with that. That way everybody is happy for at least half the year!

In NYS the legislature is too busy telling people to put their guns in a safe and aborting kids at 9 months. Oh, and raising taxes more.

God didn’t set the clocks——He made day and night——humans made the time as we know it.

Here's a better idea than monkeying around with the clocks:

1. Move every place in the U.S. one time zone to the east (Eastern Time moves to Atlantic Time, Central Time to Eastern Time, etc.).

2. Ditch Daylight Saving Time.

3. Any state, county, municipality, etc. along the edges of the time zones can decide which one they want.

Problem solved.

>>How about we get rid of it permanently! Although making it permanent is the next best choice.

*****************************************************
Do away with it permanently.

This is the last straw for Rubio with my vote. Most all of his positions are horrible. I’m praying a REAL conservative with no globalist ties primaries this POS out.

I agree with President Trump, but they should set the clock ahead 2 hours so that we don’t have to go through this whole thing again so soon.

Otherwise you know the Democrats will just go to daylight daylight savings time.

Why not just have school start later? Kids typically get home around 230 in the afternoon as it is.

Because that gives kids more time to work in the fields. In the summer, they work all day long. Oh wait, that made sense in the 19th century. Today kids need the extra time to campaign for the teachers' unions and figure out what sex they are.

Children shouldn’t be going to school at 7 am....and eating their lunch at 10:30 am. I felt so sorry for my grandkids.

Same here. I have 32 acres and a 3 hour round trip commute. During the winter I can’t do much outside except on the weekend. I was just mentioning to my wife yesterday that I’ll get home tonight with a couple of good daylight hours to spare to get stuff done. I love it!

Just heard on the radio that one of my Michigan state lawmakers wants to submit a bill making EST permanent, no DST........

Since Michigan relies a lot on tourism, I don't think she realizes what a negative impact that would have in the northern half of our state that relies on outdoor activities such as golf, boating, fishing, skiing and snowmobiling.....

DST was never in favor on the farms. We get up when the sun comes up and quit working sometime after it goes down. Cows have to be milked at the same time no matter what the clock actually says.

It was something for factory workers who do live by the clock.

I think it was a WWII thing but do not quote me on that.

Pick one either EST or DST, but keep it year round. This changing crap is well just stupid beyond belief and a pain in the butt.

No. We should make standard time the year round official time.

“Daylight Savings Time” is artificial time.

It takes approximately 24 hours for the earth to rotate around its axis. That is not an artificial invention, it is a discovery humans found to be true. That is from where we come to have clocks that keep that time in one hour increments, with two twelve hour periods.

The division between the two is marked by two points. Noon is the point when, at any land point of reference, the sun is at its closest proximity to being directly overhead. From noon there will be twelve hours when our view of the sun continues to move away from us. We mark that point twelve hours away from noon as mid night - middle of the night. Then over the next twelve hours after midnight our possible view of the sun is moving closer, until it is again approximately directly overhead, at noon again.

That is the natural course of time. We should not mess with it. Our lives are not improved by doing so.

That is ALWAYS our natural earthly viewing relationship to the sun.

“Daylight savings time” does not “save” any “daylight” time.

What it gives on one side of the day, it takes from the other side.

In the northern hemisphere, WE ALWAYS have what seems like more daylight hours in the summer time. That is ALWAYS the case, “daylight savings time” or not. It is due to a slight tilt of the earth on its axis, NOT daylight savings time.

We do not gain or lose time. Government just shifts us into artificial time.
