Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants Americans to pay more taxes, even though she hasn’t paid her own back taxes from 2012.
A book company AOC founded in 2012 to publish children’s books in the Bronx still owes New York State over $1,870 in corporate taxes, according to public records uncovered by the New York Post.
The state dissolved her company, Brook Avenue Press, in October 2016, presumably due to its failure to pay corporate taxes or file a tax return.
In typical socialist fashion, Ocasio-Cortez’s little "book-publishing company" got cheap office space as part of a city-subsidized program.
However, there are no records of Brook Avenue Press ever having published a single book.
Ocasio-Cortez ignored a July 2017 tax warrant from the state demanding payment of her delinquent taxes.

Reminds me of a German girl I knew. She was really anxious to turn 21 so she would be able to claim an inheritance her grandfather had left for her. But her mother had been receiving gov’t benefits as an “artist” for years, and the German gov’t deducted some portion of those benefits from her inheritance. She was furious! “That was MY MONEY!”

I wonder what the status of her corp is with the IRS. If she had an S-Corp and she failed to file even a zero return, she is liable for at least $195/month just for not filing. Even if no taxes are owed.
We should start calling her Leona.
When reports like these pop up after they’re elected about democrat House and Senate candidates. The question arises what the hell are the the Republican House and Senate committees to elect researchers doing ? They should be bringing stuff like this out during the race. Why wasn’t this brought out then ?
Can’t they garnishee it out of her Congressional paycheck?
