Before every election, both parties try to figure out what states they are competitive in and they begin to work on a budget. The same holds true for PACs, who often has more money than the party. Priorities USA, an influential left-leaning political action committee, helped former President Barack Obama win re-election in 2012.
They also worked for Hillary in 2016. They have surveyed the political landscape and have decided that Ohio is a low priority. In political speak, that means it’s not worth the money. That figures, the Democrats are keying on Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

The Midwest state of Ohio, with its 18 Electoral College votes, has been considered an important “swing state” in many recent presidential elections, but that may not be the case in the upcoming 2020 election.
Ohio media outlet cleveland.com reported on the surprising admission from a prominent Democratic Party-aligned Super PAC that the state had essentially been downgraded as not being a priority in the next national election cycle.
Signaling the downgrade of Ohio by Democrats is the fact that it was not included in the PAC’s first round of expenditures — roughly $100 million — for an early engagement program that is focused on targeting voters in the states of Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Nor was Ohio mentioned in an already planned second round of that program, which intends to focus on states like Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, New Hampshire and North Carolina.
Josh Schwerin, a spokesman for Priorities USA, explained, “It’s not in our initial spending plans. It is in the states to watch and see if an investment is worth making.”

While I am cautiously optimistic, I will still volunteer for the campaign.
2016 was the first time I EVER volunteered for any election and 2020 will likely be the last :)
I was 12 when The Great One was elected so it didn’t occur to me to volunteer for him.
And no one else since has been worth it.
A president like The Great One and Trump only comes around about every 30 or 40 years.
Even CNN was barely getting its sea legs back then and most people either did not get cable yet or thought the idea of a 24/7 news channel as ludicrous.
Count me in the latter. I refuse to have that crap on in my house. Whether its FoxNews, CNN, MSNBC or any of the other alphabets, it's nothing but noise and I sincerely think its bad for your health. All that negativity, all that shouting, all that toxicity.
Anyway, the media hated Reagan almost as much as Trump but back in Reagan's day, they did not have all the outlets (including now social media) to trumpet their hate.
Well, Ohio’s ex-wife beating senator just dropped out of the presidential race. Kinda’ wish he’d’ve stayed in. Trump would have had him for lunch.

If OH residents have finally wised up to the budget Armageddon Kasich has left them and DeWine shows no inclination to deal with, no wonder they’re staying on board the Trump train.
A healthy, thriving capitalist economy is the only hope Ohio has.
The Donks are actually conceding the whole country to President Trump, outside of a few cities dominated by socialist extremists.

The policies of the Dem party are simply not good for the country, and everyday Americans know this despite the propaganda media onslought. The People want more of what President Trump has brought to them politically and economically.
Big Daddy Trump is going to beat the Donks like a drum in Nov. of 2020. Soon the caterwauling to prevent this will ramp up as they preach their Zombie Apocalypse version of Trump Derangement Syndrome.And if they get bad enough there will be guns involved, and beatings of Trump supporters by Anti Fa, and Black Lives Matter Donk cannon fodder. These must be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law, or Patriots will fight them in the streets.

On the flip side though a President now has a way to reach over 50 million in an instant.
And though FB and Twitter are going the way of the Gestapo, I and many others were able to post a lot of information about Trump that was positive and wouldn’t have been accessible otherwise.
The gazillion illegals that have poured in since then haven’t helped either.
But it wouldn’t shock me to see Trump get a very high number of electoral votes.
No one can ever again win 49 states, I think.
An R can never win NY or CA again. Probably a few others.
And a D will never win a number of southern/midwestern states.

To maintain Virginia, the governor was forced to come out for killing babies after they are born. To maintain Virgina, it is necessary to take extreme positions to amp up the base.
