Republican. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky revealed this week that there are at least 10 Senate Republicans who will betray President Donald Trump and vote against his national emergency declaration.
While speaking at the Southern Kentucky Lincoln Day Dinner late Saturday, Paul said that he couldn’t “vote to give extra-constitutional powers to the president.”

The end goal is breaking the USA.
Breaking the citizens ownership.
Breaking the contract of the Constitution.
Ending the sovereignty of the citizens and subsuming the USA to the UN.

by NOT voting for this- all these republicans are calling every border agent a liar- and claiming there is ‘no crisis’ despite repeated pleas from border agents to stop the obvious crisis-
Paul, you are not voting to give him powers. A previous Congress did that. If you want the emergency powers transferred by Congress back, you need a bill to do so. Good luck with that. The Dims won’t vote for it as it kills all the prior invocations.
I’m just not worried about it. Seriously. As my Christian walk has continued to grow, I just know that God is in control and I am at complete peace about it. I will do what is necessary when it’s time to vote (I live in Kentucky) and enjoy sparring with liberals on other sites, but I really do just see this world as a sort of Matrix.
And when Trump is out, regardless of when and how, that is when I believe it will become very, um, interesting.
And I see this internationally, not strictly through a “U.S. lens”.

Agreed. On some occasions, I understand his principled objections to legislation. On this one, he’s full of it and there’s obviously more to his opposition.

That's not exactly true, but they are picking the wrong hill to die on, for sure. They seem to be saying that they are concerned about a slippery slope, as we all should. Problem is they should have raised that flag when previous presidents took this National Emergency action. Congress granted the Executive this power in 1974. You'd think if it was unconstitutional they would have addressed that sometime in the last 45 years. We will not have a country if we wait for a pro-American congress to fix this border issue.

I suggest you start looking at this through a LOCAL LENS. I know you escaped to the beautiful state of Kentucky. And I hope that you never have to face the day to day dangers that illegals bring on many, if not most, Americans. But remember, all politics is local. And when your normal everyday world gets forever changed by illegals - don’t forget to laugh.
Same people who believe that being an American on one’s mother’s side is sufficient to make one a natural born citizen eligible to be President.

What happens to these people in the short term and in the long term? Why isn’t the financial cost of this being an issue? Aren’t those Republicans who are planning to vote against Trump doing it because they did not appropriate the funds, also responsible for appropriating the welfare funds to care for these thousands of invaders? PULL THE PLUG ON FINANCING THIS FARCE!!!!
