An illegal immigrant charged in the murder of Mollie Tibbetts, a University of Iowa student found dead in August, requested his trial to be moved to a more diverse county in the state so his jury pool has more minority representation.
Cristhian Bahena Rivera’s attorneys filed the motion Friday, arguing that existing tensions and opinions in Poweshiek County — which is the area where the crime occurred, Tibbetts grew up and Rivera lived and worked at a dairy farm — will make it hard to have a “fair and impartial trial,” the Des Moines Register reported. The attorneys asked the court to select a county that has more of a minority representation for the jury pool.
"Without venue where a minority population is substantially represented, [Rivera] cannot be fairly tried and any jury pool chosen will have to be stricken," the motion reads.
The trial is set to begin on Sept. 3, Des Moines Register reported.
Rivera, 24, pleaded not guilty to murder charges in September, about a month after he was arrested and Tibbetts’ body was located in a cornfield about 12 miles southeast of Brooklyn. The 20-year-old college student vanished on July 18 while going for a jog in her hometown.
Tibbetts’ parents have been vocal in speaking out against linking his daughter's death to the illegal immigration issue.
In September, Mollie’s father, Rob Tibbetts, wrote an op-ed for the Des Moines Register that his daughter would have “vehemently opposed” anti-immigration views and asked politicians to not use her death to “promote various political agendas.”
Her mother, Laura Calderwood, also took in the teenage son of Mexican immigrants who worked with Rivera prior to his arrest.

Based on what is known about indicator counties like Marshall, illegals are counted in the census, as is typical everywhere. Marshalltown could be in Mexico. Rural Iowa counties have very diligent census takers.
Five percent foreign language speakers in a county of less than 20,000 is very noticeable when most people have families going back locally 100 years.
They also raised a nutbar daughter who was pro illegal, hated Trump and tweeted about how she hated white people.

I USED to think that when enough Democrat’s lost their kids to illegal immigrants/drugs/criminal thugs that maybe THEN the tide would turn, but they’re just SO stuck on PARTY before COUNTRY that now it just SICKENS me!

When you look at the actual numbers, the 1/2 or so of white female voters that vote for Democrats is the American Left’s REAL voter base. These women hate their Fathers, Brothers, Husbands, and Sons. They are voting for their own deaths.

Even though I’m a female, white, Jewish (but raised Christian; Great Grandpa converted when he came to America in the early 1800’s) and have taken advantage of EVERY opportunity being born in America has BLESSED me with, I have always been one that ALSO said that we ‘women’ should’ve only been given the vote IF we were either married or owned property or owned our own business.
Others disagree, of course, but we can SEE the results clear as day at this point in time.
It’s madness to vote against your own interests and the interests of America. I’ll never understand it.

She wasn’t murdered, she was culturally enriched.
I lived in Waterloo for a year a long time ago (but in a “non-diverse” neighborhood near the border with Cedar Falls). According to the 2010 census, the population of Waterloo is 77% white and a bit over 15% black (and 5% Hispanic).
I just look at it from this point of view, at least the crazy assed lib bitch wont be breeding.
And if she hated white people, she probably would have just bred more wetback bastards.
