New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) derided President Trump’s push to arm teachers by suggesting arming teachers for self-defense leads to shootouts in the classroom. Politico quoted Cuomo saying, “I mean, how ludicrous a concept — arm the teacher so when the bad person comes into the classroom, there can be a shootout in the classroom.”
He added, “I mean, really, ludicrous and nonsensical.”

Predators attack what they perceive as the most vulnerable prey. That is precisely why these animals focus on places that are not armed, and where there are high concentrations of potential victims. Predators want to attack with little to no danger to themselves.
Better a shootout than just getting shot.
In Cuomo-Land, it is better to have a madman killing kids slowly and carefully than to have a shootout in the classroom. The kids, I suspect, would disagree. But their parents voted for Cuomo...
He has a point. If a Trump supporter with a MAGA hat walked into a faculty lounge with armed teachers, there might be hell to pay.

Yeah, much better to have a shooting gallery than a shootout where the teachers can fight back. Wouldn’t want the perp harmed in any way before he’s done with his rampage.
