School helps students nurture feminist masculinities during Masculinities Month
Aryssa Damron - Yale University February 20, 2019
In contrast with patriarchal masculinities
The Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity at the University of Kansas has devoted the month of February to developing feminist masculinities and questioning the collective socialization of men through a slate of activities theyve dubbed Masculinities Month.
Eight events are scheduled for the month, ranging from DIY craft nights to a keynote address by a prominent anti-patriarchy writer.
Through these [events], the Emily Taylor Center encourages you to learn about and question the collective socialization of men, the traditional masculine script, and the concept of the man box; consider the relationship between intersectionality and masculinities; explore the differences between patriarchy and feminism as well as between patriarchal masculinity and feminist masculinity, the centers website states.
We also share strategies for those seeking to practice and/or nurture feminist masculinities in their everyday lives.
The center did not respond to The College Fixs request for comment on event attendance so far, as well as where the funding for the months programs comes from.
Two of the months events are zine nights, where participants can gather to make zines or tiny homemade magazines. One event is geared toward zines where participants can create your own counternarrative. The zines will be collected, copied, and disseminated on-campus by the center. Organizers of the zine events did not respond to requests for comment on the expected turnout for the activities.

As the Emperor said to Mozart in “Amaddeus”, “Too many notes.”
What does this mean?
Teach ‘em how to cook the deer they just shot and gutted?
That is some very special doublespeak -- authentic otherworldly gibberish.
Why is it that colleges seem to be so focused on social engineering?
What happened to straight run of the mill education?
>>nurture feminist masculinities
Bullstalin.
Feminazis want your balls cut off. Kate Millett was a crazy dyke who advocated sex between adult women and girls (and doing away with age of consent laws).
Feminazis are dismissive that men have any worth. “A woman needs a man like a fish needs (or can use) a bicycle” (no worth whatsover).
Radical feminists wanted Marxist revolution. They have no positive contributions to society. None. End their toxic hate in schools.
They don’t care about teaching how to DO something...They only care about teaching how to FEEL something...
feminist masculinities
Does this mean I can be irrationally aggressive four days a month without getting personally blamed?
Emasculinities Month can go right after Black History Month.
Thank God Im too old and stupid to go to college these days! I dont have the faintest idea what this article is about.
Nor do I really care...
how did USA acquire so many sexually-confused (and sexually-crazed) idiots, and especially in our colleges?
has it been something in the water that caused all this mental disease, or maybe McD’s, or????
they’re going to have knitting classes?
Schools are to teach critical thinking, not brainwash boys to be gay.
Long gone I'm afraid.
The men on campus should respond with a “take your date to a shooting range week.” The local ranges could chip in with Ladies Night promotions. And use Pajama Boy as the target.
University of Kansas brochure : “We are the leading edge of girly men.”
I already posted to this thread, but I was thinking about your question.
A possible answer: women have been encouraged for 3 decades now to shine men on, preferring to rely on the nanny state and (usually female) babysitters to help them raise their children. Single women can raise girl children, but almost always have issues with raising boys especially starting around age 12 when they naturally begin to seek maleness affirmation. The solution: brainwash boys to act more effeminate and submissive to women, supporting single parenthood as a norm, instead of criticizing women for putting themselves above their children and not having a husband/father role model in the home to help nurture brain development of both boys and girls.
I’ve always suspected that the Birchers were right about fluoridated water.
This is so overloaded with utter bullshit, I can’t even read it.
In saner times it was said that neurotics build castles in the sand and psychotics live in them.
In those days the purveyors of this insanity would have been professionally treated for Schizophrenic delusions.
Ha! it could be (tho, i suspect at least as much.. McD’s and artificial sweetners and....)
