Justice Department preparing for Mueller report as early as next week
CNN ^ | 02/20/2019 | Evan Perez, Laura Jarrett and Katelyn Polantz

Attorney General Bill Barr is preparing to announce as early as next week the completion of Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, with plans for Barr to submit to Congress soon after a summary of Mueller's confidential report, according to people familiar with the plans.

The preparations are the clearest indication yet that Mueller is nearly done with his almost two-year investigation.

The precise timing of the announcement is subject to change.

The scope and contours of what Barr will send to Congress remain unclear. Also unclear is how long it will take Justice officials to prepare what will be submitted to lawmakers.

But with President Donald Trump soon to travel overseas for a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Justice officials are mindful of not interfering with the White House's diplomatic efforts, which could impact the timing.

The Justice Department and the special counsel's office declined to comment.

Barr has said that he wants to be as "transparent" as possible with Congress and the public, "consistent with the rules and the law."

Funny, for the last 1.5 years, I’ve been hearing Trump was going to fire Mueller next week.

Those "Q" threads are a freakin' joke ....

Mueller is a hack and a buffoon but the report will leave enough things vague so media can still pretend that Russians had something to do with the election.

Unwitting agent of Russia/Putin

It's so much easier to see Christine Blasey Ford as a dupe of the CIA (Deep State, but I repeat myself), as she has for years been recruiting for the CIA and her daddy has long ago been outed as a renowned CIA agent.

That Feinstein--who surely knows Christine's background, since DiFi's husband has long been a Trustee of the University where Christine has been doing her recruiting--would dare have let CBF bring her shown-to-be-obvious accusatory lies forward straight-faced in an bald attempt to destroy the reputation of a Supreme Court nominee with an otherwise impeccable record is a total breach of her oath to the Constitution.

By contrast and and after years of investigation, the FBI has not found the vaguest of emanation from any psycho-acoustic transducer, or otherwise, that might have had the least little influence toward turning Trump in the least inappropriate way to work as a Russian asset.

The preponderance of the evidence shows what the DOJ/FBI officials did in many supportive ways, with help and direction from the Intel Agencies and Obama White House, all betrays that their efforts are properly seen as a coup.

"... consistent with the rules and the law."

I was pleased to see that Barr use this term "rules" so often during his confirmation hearing. This was deliberate, folks.

The Office of the Special Counsel does not exist under any laws passed by Congress. It was established under an internal rule of the U.S. Department of Justice, and therefore operates entirely outside Congressional oversight except for its funding.

The only statutory (legal) issue with the Office of the Special Counsel is that a Special Counsel can only prosecute cases under existing Federal laws.

I suspect Congress is going to be kept completely in the dark on most aspects of Mueller's investigation.

Why is there a ‘report’ from Mueller and why is Bill Barr going to submit it to Congress?

Mueller is running a coup and should’ve been arrested a year ago.

Yes, yes, this is all known. Really, what a lot of people here @ FR are doing is providing an emotional helping hand to those still shocked by the events at hand.

Your comment "total breach of her oath to the Constitution" betrays your sentiments. Of course the enemy breaches their oaths - as far as they're concerned, it's simply an (effective) tactic to achieve their desired war aims. The nation is under attack from inside (and outside), which means all's fair in love & war.

What those who understand what's happening are really waiting for is the long awaited counter-offensive. Honestly, I don't know whether Trump will act aggressively or not. If he lets the conspirators go, then that just pushes back CWII action to a different time and subject to different circumstances. It under no circumstances alters the nation's trajectory and eventual conflict.

Clearly the time to act is now while patriots still hold an advantage - that is, the next 2-6 years during Trump's administrations - but we'll just have to see how this plays out.

Here's a great recap from a poster @ T_D: https://www.reddit.com/user/SV650life

It's not simply a waste of time, it's much much more serious than that. The Mueller investigation was the culmination of an attempt by partisan holdovers from the Obama Administration to overthrow the President of the United States using a frivolous, open-ended and far reaching investigation to 1) usurp the power of the Executive over the Executive Branch (try running a government where former and current heads of your own intelligence agencies are implying you're a fucking Manchurian candidate) , 2) impede the President's agenda and erode his political capital by perpetuating a false narrative about him being "compromised," and 3) to punish the people on Trump's campaign who helped elect the President. They robbed a duly elected President of half of his term.

This was a seditious plot by the Obama Administration to maliciously interfere with a Presidential election by spying on the opposition candidate, and after that failed, to literally overthrow the elected government of the United States. Make no mistake about it, Mueller, Strzok, Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein et. al. ALL knew this was a farce from the very beginning. Strzok in his own words said there was "no big there there" with respect to Russian collusion. And yet they still did everything they could to "stop him," up to and including going about 4 pay grades over their own heads to look for cabinet members they could get to abuse the 25th Amendment to seditiously depose Trump under color of law.

This can't just go away - we can't be content with just a PR victory here. People need to be punished to the full extent of the law for conducting a seditious conspiracy against the United States. Because if we do not punish treason, we make treason inevitable. Mark my words it will happen again and again until we don't have a country left if we leave the perpetrators their book deals, their speaking engagements, and their freedom. Justice must be done.

Maybe I’m crazy to think it’s a good sign that, within less than a week of Barr becoming the AG, Mueller has to to end this nightmare of an investigation. And he has a week to do so. I see this as Barr telling him the game is over.

Meuller takers a page from Dan Rather’s playbook: “the fake dossier doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. It’s um, fake but true....”
