California has run out of it’s own tax money flushing it down the virtue signaling toilet. We certainly do not need their help spending federal taxes on worthless social boondoggles.
Actually California has already spent what it was estimated to complete the project many times over... Well the politicians actually stole a few bullet trains by now, they just want the gravy to keep flowing.

I heard that! I had thought the same thing, that Ocasio-Cortes gal is dumb, dumb, dumb. Get rid of planes, and take a train everywhere... including to Hawaii and Europe. Maybe Newsom will repurpose the high-speed rail to go from Bakersfield to Hawaii. Of course he'll ask President Trump for federal dollars to start that project. Probably would be cheaper to use solar rockets to fly to Hawaii using sun power.
