Democrats have four tough, smart, qualified women in the Senate running for president. And that might be a problem, because they just tried that against Donald Trump, and it didnt work in 2016.
Its not that Sens. Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar and Kirsten Gillibrand wouldnt each make an excellent president. Like Hillary Clinton, its clear that they have all put a great deal of thought into how theyll run and how they would lead.
Theyve done the hard work of designing policy-specific platforms; theyve built their early organizations; and all four have put together travel-heavy, strategic early-state rollouts. So far, they have come off as professional, earnest and conventional - in other words, so similar to Clinton that its hard to see why the results of their campaigns against Trump would be any different than hers was.
Millions of suburban women gave control of the House to Democrats in the midterms, after all, in a bid to slow Trumps roll.
But the irony of so many Democratic women running for president this cycle is that they will all need to do much more going forward to distinguish themselves from each other for voters, above and beyond making history. And theyll need to show how theyre different enough from Clinton that they can win over people who didnt vote for Clinton in 2016.

Hellary cant walk much less run.
She’s so out of shape she can’t even jump to a conclusion.
Bada bing!
she can do what she wants to bernie, he doesn’t fight back and she can pay him off.
Could be. I can’t guarantee she’s going to run.
It just seems likely with all her public appearances.
If she weren’t running again, these appearances would be a waste of time.
I don’t think she’s getting that much money these days.
They’re forgetting Tulsi Gabbard
“Democrats have four tough, smart, qualified women...”
Begs the question: Does Patricia Murphy have any functioning brain cells?
That was beautiful.
When will this old woman ever go away? How do you go that long in life without a single achievement to your name and still get press. She is irrelevant to everything going on today!
the current president has failed to look her up. So the answer to your question is she will go away when she dies.
I think it would be great if the Rats blew another $1.5 billion on Cankleswho would get her fat @ss kicked AGAIN. That would be so much fun.
“Millions of suburban women gave control of the House to Democrats in the midterms, after all, in a bid to slow Trumps roll.”
Doubtful. When the Democrats what to criticize Trump’s election they create the smallest possible vote margins to bolster their argument. They look at a single state or states, count the total margin of victory and run with that number. Here? No need for precision... just say “millions of (enter your adjective) women.
“I wonder how willing Feel the Burn Bernie and crazy Uncle Joe feel about playing the patsy again?”
We know who Uncle Creepy likes to feel about.
lol!
With her ego...I can’t imagine that she wouldn’t run.
She views the Presidency as her destiny and will stop at nothing to get there by hook, or by crook. There is a dynamic too of Warren is 69, Bernie is 77. Biden is 76. This isn’t going to go unchallenged by Clinton. She’s going to tack right and go “centrist” from the lefty lunatics.
Because many made large contributions to her knowing she would deliver to them a nice fat bundle of goodies with no regard whatsoever as to whether or not it was legal. It's called "Pay to play".
“Its not that Sens. Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar and Kirsten Gillibrand wouldnt each make an excellent president. Like Hillary Clinton, its clear that they have all put a great deal of thought into how theyll run and how they would lead.”
Make me puke & barf!
