Ex-FBI official: 'Crime may have been committed' by Trump (gag alert)

WASHINGTON — Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe said in an interview that aired Sunday that a "crime may have been committed" when President Donald Trump fired the head of the FBI and tried to publicly undermine an investigation into his campaign's ties to Russia.

McCabe also said in the interview with "60 Minutes" that the FBI had good reason to open a counterintelligence investigation into whether Trump was in league with Russia, and therefore a possible national security threat, following the May 2017 firing of then-FBI Director James Comey.

I don’t know why he hasn’t been indicted. It is a travesty of justice that he is still on the tube spouting his lies...with no repercussions.

Yes. And the fact that WRAL published this article with no information about these facts (that have been included here) is just an outrage.

I go to WRAL for local news but I just have to stop it. I have to stop watching them also. I will go to WTVD11 news instead. It’s a hard habit to break but WRAL does not deserve my viewership. But I’m just one.

Yes it is - just more FAKE NEWS.

I have already written WRAL with some of the important points but may write them again.

this whole incredibly expensive and drawn out investigation is just revenge for firing Comey...and/or for Hillary’s loss

The problem with that is that Operation Crossfire Hurricane was rolling by April 2016 AT THE LATEST - and probably before.

This was when people were still discussing if Rubio, Cruz, or Bush would get Trump's delegates when he dropped out.

Consider this: All this went down when, to the outside world, there was only the smallest possibility that Trump would be nominated, and (effectively) zero possibility that he would win.

So, no, it's not about revenge for the sick old drunk, and it's not about firing Comey.

And consider further: To the people behind this, IT DID NOT MATTER if Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Jim Gilmore, Lindsey Graham, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, John Kasich, George Pataki, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum, or Scott Walker were nominated or, I bet, even if they were to win.

Corrupt just doesn't adequately describe these Deep State bums.....more like born-criminals and con artists.

Two important products of Congressional investigations:
<><>the 18 Jan 2017 memo declassified by Pres Trump,
<><> the 28 Dec 2018 letter to Sen Mitch McConnell, Acting AG Matthew Whitaker, and DoJ IG Michael Horowitz.

The key facts revealed:
<><> (1) the Obama FBI used, as the factual basis for the FISA applications, bogus info from the Steele dossier, a compilation of anti-Trump info that the FBI had not verified.
<><> (2) Obama's corrupt FBI nevertheless swore to the truth of that info to obtain surveillance warrants on Carter Page, Trump's one-time campaign advisor;
<><> (3) in the process of obtaining the search warrants the Obama FBI failed to inform FISA that the Steele dossier was bought and paid for by the DNC and Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

Obama hand-in-hand with his pal, NSA's Susan Rice.... asked for and obtained hundreds of “unmaskings,” of US citizens’.
Their communications were intercepted by the Obama FBI and NSA as part of so-called intel operations
.
Innocent Americans were unmasked, and were used against Trump in the campaign.

<><> Why did the unmaskings even occur, and what information was illegally shared by Rice with Obama and/or Hillary?
<><>What illegal direction did the FBI, the NSA, and other intel agencies take to monitor Trump-related communications?

Outrageously, Democrats have stopped the investigations cold. The most heinous aspect of this Democrat outrage is
that the Obama admin and his factotums ----like Third World tinpot warlords----calculatedly picked over the intel apparat,
set-up to protect the safety and security of Americans, to advance their scurrilous political schemes.

Partners in crime.

Mega thanks for this post. Another keeper.

By the way, when I have tried to discuss the “unmaskings” with non-thinkers, they always ask what does “unmasking” mean and what impact does it have.

Can you give me a good answer for that question?

THANKS!

Speaking of Scott Pelley—until this morning I would have sworn the “sloppy seconds” quote was his.
Then I checked & discovered my memory was not accurate.
It was John Roberts.

Unlike MSM, I fact checked before I included false information in my post.

They should try it.
Would do wonders for their journalistic reputation
HAHAHA!!! Will Nevah Happen

(Not to say I get never get things wrong. I do, but I try to be accurate)

Last time I looked USA wasn’t at war With The Russian Federation. How can this “colusion” be a crime?

Technically, you’re correct. They never bother to tell anyone that. “Collusion” isn’t a crime.

The whole thing is jaw-droppingly corrupt. Like him or hate him, the president has exposed these scumbags far and wide. I knew the rot was bad, but Geez. Washington needs an Enema.

"...Crime may have been committed..."

He's giving Trump permission ...in the past tense?

I wonder if his grasp of the law is as shoddy as his command of the language.
