Almost everyone that goes out to visit one of our major cities on the west coast has a similar reaction. Those that must live among the escalating decay are often numb to it, but most of those that are just in town for a visit are absolutely shocked by all of the trash, human defecation, crime and public drug use that they encounter. Once upon a time, our beautiful western cities were the envy of the rest of the world, but now they serve as shining examples of America’s accelerating decline. The worst parts of our major western cities literally look like post-apocalyptic wastelands, and the hordes of zombified homeless people that live in those areas are too drugged-out to care. The ironic thing is that these cities are not poor. In fact, San Francisco and Seattle are among the wealthiest cities in the entire nation. So if things are falling apart this dramatically now, how bad will things get when economic conditions really start to deteriorate?
If you are into public defecation, you will be very happy to learn that Denver just made it legal…
First, the obvious: The Denver City Council has voted unanimously to decriminalize a number of offenses, including defecating in public. Also, urinating in public. Camping on public or private land without permission. Panhandling. And lying across public rights-of-way, such as sidewalks.
Democrat Mayor Michael Hancock and city officials explained the new ordinances are designed to protect immigrants — legal and the other kind — from “unintended consequences.” These consequences were fines and longer jail terms, as has been customary in most places for violating the behavioral norms of civilized American society.

Typhus, also known as typhus fever, is a group of infectious diseases that include epidemic typhus, scrub typhus and murine typhus. Common symptoms include fever, headache, and a rash. Typically these begin one to two weeks after exposure.It was eradicated in the United States but now it is roaring back and we have our liberal democrat "friends" to blame.
The diseases are caused by specific types of bacterial infection. Epidemic typhus is due to Rickettsia prowazekii spread by body lice, scrub typhus is due to Orientia tsutsugamushi spread by chiggers, and murine typhus is due to Rickettsia typhi spread by fleas.
There is currently no commercially available vaccine. Prevention is by reducing exposure to the organisms that spread the disease. Treatment is with the antibiotic doxycycline. Epidemic typhus generally occurs in outbreaks when poor sanitary conditions and crowding are present. While once common, it is now rare. Scrub typhus occurs in Southeast Asia, Japan, and northern Australia. Murine typhus occurs in tropical and subtropical areas of the world.
Signs and symptoms begin with sudden onset of fever, and other flu-like symptoms about one to two weeks after being infected. Five to nine days after the symptoms have started, a rash typically begins on the trunk and spreads to the extremities. This rash eventually spreads over most of the body, sparing the face, palms, and soles. Signs of meningoencephalitis begin with the rash and continue into the second or third weeks. Other signs of meningoencephalitis include sensitivity to light (photophobia), altered mental status (delirium), or coma.
Untreated cases are often fatal. Without treatment, death may occur in 10 to 60 percent of patients with epidemic typhus, with patients over age 60 having the highest risk of death.
Decade ago mental health hospitals were shut down and involuntary commitment was ended because liberals claimed it was "inhumane" to the patients. It is now obvious that the conditions in our cities are FAR more inhumane than any treatment provided in mental health hospitals ever was. This is a serious public health crisis and it is about to explode exponentially. Today, the Los Angeles City Hall has rats, fleas and typhus.
The effort in cities today is removal of the homeless encampments. But how is that going to get to the heart of the problem?
All of us in other parts of the country should begin shipping our undesirables to the west coast cities that love them so well. Win-win!

Cities were liveable in the 50’s. Downtowns were lively, and the place to be. Stopped being so sometime in the 60’s.
Suburbs suck, but you have to be there to get away from what cities have become.
We once had liveable communities. We don’t now. Cities are $hitholes, and survive only with money from the suburbs, disguised as “financial aid” or “loans.”
Advice to politicians: You created this situation by turning cities into places with zero net productivity. You created hellholes of non-working people who live off welfare that comes from the paychecks of the productive people.

Immigration is certainly a factor. But a lot of it is home-grown, starting with permissiveness towards drugs. Homeless encampments grow every time there is a relaxation about illicit drugs.
To be sure, reports out of SanFran aren't good. I've never been to Denver, but, OK...maybe legalization hasn't been good for that city.
But many of the larger Cities which I've visited recently, including Manhattan, Chicago, and Anaheim, don't look like war zones. Every city has it's bad area, and to be sure DeBlasio has overseen a general decline in NYC vs prior years. But NYC remains WAY better than it did in the 1970s/1980s.
City living may not be a Deplorables' cup of tea, but to paint with a broad bush like this guy does without any basic research hurts his claim and his cause.

Democrats make Western Cities into a different type of hellhole than the Eastern Cities they control.
That said, it won’t be long before their styles merge and any city run by democrats will be a pits of crime and filth.
