A bullet train between Bakersfield and Mercedtwo major population centers. What kind of ridership are they expecting on that?

They still want to build about 125 miles so Dianne Feinstein still gets taxpayer money.
To: 4Liberty
It was. AOC thought that trains would replace airplanes. Please, please let President Trump start tweeting on this!

Meanwhile in China...
And...
California would have the money if they weren't throwing it all away on free food, free housing, free education, and free needles for crazy people. They could easily pay for a bullet train by just ending the funding for illegals.
But then, that's just. I hate hearing from liberal progressive "individuals" that they cannot do something. What is he saying? That China can do something easily, but California, cannot?

He said the state would not send $3.5 billion back to the federal government to be spent by President Donald Trump. Idiot. Donald Trump, or any President, for that matter, doesn't "spend" any money. Congress controls the purse strings. Spending bills originate in the House, which is run by 'Rats. So, if anyone is "spending" anything, it is Newsome's fellow 'Rats.

This railway project is pure Democrat corruption with Senator Fine-swine and her husband up to their necks in it.

Yeah. It sounds like he knows he should send the money back, but since Trump is in office - he won’t.

Today’s news is just the crack in the dam starting to show a trickle.
Now that SF to LA is abandoned, all bonds under the original ballot proposition will be invalidated. Any pipe dreams of public private partnership are fading to oblivion, leaving only carbon tax money to pay for it.
Somewhere around 250 to 400 million a year is all that’s available. It won’t surprise me if half of that gets burned through just for environmental lawsuits. Progress will be so slow that within a couple years Newsome will have to pull the plug entirely.
They’ll be lucky to complete one mile per year at this point.

Illegal immigrants.
I’ve ridden on the Shinkansen in Japan. Tickets aren’t cheap and poor people don’t ride them. How is this train lineMerced to Bakersfield ever going to make money, or break even or even not become a money pit for the state?

Yes. Gov. Brown’s plan would be Greened Up at a multiple of about 20 times what was formerly being planned.
Stratospheric, ever-spiraling costs for America. Crumbs and cookies for everybody else.

Leave the Outer Bridge up so I can visit my sisters in Southern NJ.
Other than that, bomb away :)
Believe, no one from the other four boroughs want to visit and we don’t want them here.
And we NEVER EVER want an underwater passage to Manhattan or a train to Brooklyn!!
Don’t need bums waking up and getting off in our neighborhoods.

Only about the 5th report today. 👹🚄🚂 '''''''''''''''' Its the first I have seen of it. But I haven't scrolled down much yet. The others probably got slid down. I hardly ever go to the next page of news because there is so much interesting stuff always at the top. I would guess the 5 reports today would make it a popular story. I'm glad it got posted again.
