Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Tuesday that the Senate would vote on the "Green New Deal" introduced by Sen. Edward Markey, D-Mass., and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez last week.
"I've noted with great interest the Green New Deal, and we're going to be voting on that in the Senate to give everybody an opportunity to go on record," McConnell told reporters.
The bill, which is not expected to pass the GOP-dominated upper chamber, could force some Democrats to make a politically awkward calculation.

Very few Dem Senators up in 2022. Even fewer vulnerable ones I would assume. The Senate races are heavily skewed to the GOP in 2020. Although I imagine some will retire than run again and support POTUS.

There is always that chance, however if all the Dems vote no and the Republicans vote no maybe that will shut AOC up for a minute or two.

Screw the turtle like he has been screwing us. He is the most dishonest leader the senate has ever seen, and weak beyond belief. He says one thing while pulling the levers behind the scenes to do just the opposite. The wall being a key example.
