ATMORE, Ala. (AP) — The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday rejected claims from a Muslim inmate who said his religious rights were being violated, clearing the way for the lethal injection to go forward Thursday night.
In a 5-4 decision, justices vacated a stay issued by the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that had been blocking the execution of Dominique Ray, 42.

In Congress, you have to be there in person to cast a vote, which is why McCain hanging on to his seat while unable to travel hurt the GOP (assuming he’d have helped them in any matter if he was there).

Can a Supreme Court Justice “mail it in,” either by signing a voting slip, or by telephone, or video conference, or some other means?

This is reasonable, the Imam can be with him right up to the chamber door but I don’t know if any religious stricture that requires the spiritual advisor to hold your hand as the needle slides in. The situation is being reported by many outlets in such a way that implies no accommodations are made whatsoever and that he has had no access to an Imam. That is clearly not the case.
