It’s San Francisco. I wouldn’t count on it.

Yeah my point was that these studies are worthless. They are nothing more than attempts to give credibility to a predetermined conclusion.

Eight inches in a century. Where do we get water new from? From ice, melting ice. How much ice would have to melt to raise the world sea levels by 1 mm? If you said 360 million tons you would be right. With 304.8 mm in one foot or 2,438.4 mm in 8 inches or 109,728,000,000 tons of ice would have melt in the past century. You would then need 7 times that or 768,096,000,000 tons this century to raise Sea levels to 4.8 ft. There would not be enough ice to provide James Bond with one vodka martini Just want to know where that water is coming from.

True that, probably wait for government assistance
with water up to their ankles.

For some reason, I'm getting this picture of Montana throwing a long bagel over to Rice in the corner...
:-) I was thinking that a guy named "Noah" might have a boat floating around somewhere, when the water starts to rise in earnest there in SF. :-)

Yup. And 50 years ago studies said the population explosion was going to kill off the planet by 1989. They also said we’d run out of oil by now.

The Maldives at it’s highest point is less than 8 feet above sea level. Somehow since European contact not a single building has been lost to sea level rise.

San Francisco needs to be worried about the next big quake or an epidemic caused by the filthy, unsanitary conditions caused by homeless squatters, not being submerged

I imagine that I could, with a little help, build a computer model using more valid information than they’re using that would show it being above water 500 years from now.
The average numbnuts American and our even dumber legislators have no idea how these computer models are constructed and how easy it is, how incredibly easy it is, with almost no movement of data to change things completely from one direction to another. I know someone who had to present models to the Department of Environmental regulation in Florida in order to get phosphate mining permits. When the first model showed that the holding ponds would have more water in them than allowed by the state, he would simply input an estimate estimate of future rainfall at half an inch less. Bingo, everything was copacetic. Submit it to the state, permit granted.
Looney environmentalist have no clue as to how often that takes place, and not only by the evil corporations. The EPA being a political and not an environmental organization pulls that crap all the time.

Good.
Maybe it will save us from a TV reboot of "The Swaths of San Francisco."

IF they believed this...
Theyd be selling that billion dollar real estate for dimes.
Also theyd not be building anything new. But we are undergoing a massive construction boom.
Thus... I know they dont believe it.
