Refresh for updates During a Megyn Kelly Today discussion this morning about offensive Halloween costumes and blackface during trick or treat season and if the mental alarm bells werent already going off, they should have been the host who once insisted Santa Claus is white dug herself a Halloween social media grave.
What is racist? Kelly asked her panel of guests Jenna Bush Hager, MSNBCs Jacob Soboroff and Melissa Rivers. The quartet were discussing campus attempts to discourage inappropriate and offensive costumes during Halloween season when Kelly explained, You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface for Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween.

They all fell all over themselves to say how outraged they were that someone even talked about wearing blackface on Halloween. But they don't say a word about Governor Northam.
RACIST!
And apparently Maud Behar is the latest demonrat to be discovered in past blackface.
The black face thing is nothing but a distraction. While it may be quite unpopular today, it wasn’t a big deal back 30 years ago, nor was it common or hateful.
....and Kimmel,joy behar getta pass
Enlighten me, Megan, what black person EVER got in trouble for “whiteface”?
She still around?
I thought she was doing the Home Shopping Channel gig now!
If you think Al Jolson’s blackface was racist,
wait’ll you hear what he does with Mammy!
And don’t get us started on Amos ‘n’ Andy.
It’s not false portrayals of blacks that’s
doing them in. It’s the fallout of rejecting
the culture you live in while expecting to
succeed in it.
I remember one in the movie MINSTREL MAN. A black man in white face walks through a crowd of rowdy whites at a minstrel show and proclaims...”I AM THE ONLY WHITE MAN HERE!”
Minstrel entertainer...:”And why are you the only white man here?”
“BECAUSE ALL THE REST OF YOU ARE REDNECKS!”
The crowd exploded.
He was found hanging out in an alley the next morning.
Meanwhile, every Day of the Dead, many of the Hispanics put on whiteface to look like a skull, and no one complains.
As I understand it, most people think that the purpose of Halloween it to dress in the most offensive, repulsive, evil way possible.
For that reason, many good Christians (and good people in other religions) refuse to participate in Halloween at all.
I think they might have a point.
As far as Northam is concerned it’s a diversion the focus should be on abortion
Blackface cosmetic used in a theatrical staging presentations goes back hundreds of years very probably used in staging Greek and Roman as well as Shakespeares plays.. More often than not it was used because the story line called for a a black person who was not available to perform in whatever it called for.
While the technique has been often used in satire. Political objectors to the characterization portayed instead of labeling it as a abuse, are now condeming the means used (blackface) and are calling any use of blackface as racist instead of targeting the story line and the source Demonstrating just how far we are allowing the revisionists pervert and poison a means of communication to promote their guilt agenda.
As if there were no caricatures of black people in modern entertainment.
I’d be insulted by some of the portrayals in sitcoms, commercials, etc.
Here's Hollywood schooling America on why blackface is racist any year:
Soul Man 1986:
Silver Streak 1976:
First Amendment Right to Freedom of Speech. The whacked out liberals dress up in religious figures for shock value, bakers have to bake a cake then I’ll dress however I please.
I’ve seen a lot of black women lightening their skin and wearing blonde wigs or straightening their hair and dying it red or brown. Should they be allowed to do that?
No worse than White people who do this:
Will the Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey types, et al be the ones to “school” us on how to behave?
