Vanessa Tyson could spell doom for Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax
Washington Examiner ^ | February 07, 2019 12:00 AM | Steven Nelson |

Vanessa Tyson, the woman accusing Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of sexual assault, is a political — and perhaps legal — wrecking ball for the Democratic rising star who until this week was positioned to take over as governor.

Fairfax risks not only his political career but also criminal charges, with Tyson alleging an assault at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston, where a 15-year statute of limitations allows five more months for Tyson to pursue the case.

I think that’s all phoney to make him look like a victim and turnout the minority vote.

1) claims are ancient

Ford's claim is over 30 years old. Tyson's claim is half that, at 15 years old.

2) told no one about it at the time

Ford claims she told her best friend, who denies it. Tyson claims she told a DNC official, who buried it.

4) claims timed for political impact

Tyson told the Washington Post during the 2017 election, but they sat on the story. While that might have had a political impact in the Virginia LG race, it is nothing compared to the impact today post-Kavanaugh.

I work in a bakery, all females. I am literally the only male employee. One head turn like that would be my last day there. I notice nothing. A simple dscipline.

It is amusing, the girls who want to be noticed sometimes act... peculiar.

I agree regarding the significance of #4, but am seeing in the news that Tyson brought it up a year ago with someone in the VA government (though I don’t know the details).

They didn’t just know each other - understand, they both admitted a sexual encounter occurred - and both concede it started consensually (so #3 in particular is irrelevant). Do you see any connection whatsoever to Kavanaugh in this, considering these points? I’m referring solely to Tyson’s allegation.

She brought it up when the Kavanaugh affair was all over the press, and not before, the timing of which is perfect for a false accusation and terrible for a real one.

re: 1) 15 vs. 30 years on a hearsay claim... both are ancient. The difference is immaterial.

re: 2) Told a friend who denies it vs. told an unspecified DNC official - a person who by the job description alone cannot be trusted - if there’s a difference here, it’s that the second accusation learned from the first not to name a specific witness, so that the witness couldn’t deny the accusation.

re: 4) both timings are for political impact: 2017 election, and today’s Northam fiasco. And silent in between, and beforehand? Perfect match both times for the false-claim red flag, reinforced heavily by two such timings.

Victims of sexual assault must understand this: if there is no physical evidence, and they wait many years to tell anyone, and there’s no way for any objective third party to distinguish an accusation from post-facto regret of voluntary, consensual behavior... they should be treated as a criminal, and the accusations assumed to be false, defamatory, retaliatory and extortionate.

Dilbert, she has hired Blasey Fords attorneys it is said.
That action doesn’t come about cause she intends to play nice.
On a side note, being from San Diego, how much are you affected by the illegals entering in your area?
Thanks

Tyson's telling the Washington Post predates the Kavanagh accusations, so there was no claim yet by Ford to mirror.

The Washington Post sat on the Tyson story since November 2017. Ford didn’t call the Washington Post until September 2018, so Ford couldn't know of Tyson's claim.

Oh, and Tyson's is not a "hearsay claim" because Fairfax himself admits they went to his room and kissed. They differ on the claim of forced oral sex. With Ford, there was never any proof that Ford and Kavanaugh were ever in the same room together.

> They differ on the claim of forced oral sex.

That’s a hearsay claim. There is literally nothing other than her word that points to the accusation being true; and more than that, there CAN BE nothing other than her word to so point, based on the story. In other words: he cannot exonerate himself, no matter how innocent.

This is extortion and blackmail, full stop.

This kind of thing needs to be put down with a flamethrower, with long long jail terms for people who make evidence-less, unfalsifiable and reputation-destroying accusations. Allowing this kind of thing puts incredible power in the hands of people with no moral or ethical bar to asserting life-changing falsehoods, and ONLY to those people.

SEXIST HATER!!!
(G’RRRL POWER is usually a mix of White Knighting, female privilege, and “let’s you and him fight”.
Remember Kavanaugh? This is why you don’t “believe all women.”
Besides, women lie, even about the same incident, even over time, depending on social advantages and consequences, and their audience.

Sure, but it's nowhere near the claim of Ford that she was thrown on a bed in a house she can't identify on a date she can't identify by persons she can't identify, went home in a way she can't identify, and told people who deny being there and deny being told.

With Tyson it is not hearsay that they were in the room together, so her credibility starts there, not ends there. Fairfax's reported obscenities when discussing this don't help his credibility, either.

And, how is Tyson's claim "ancient" when it's still within the statute of limitations in Boston where it allegedly happened?

Two words.
Duke Lacrosse.
Women *lie*. Particularly about sex. And there are many cases out there where women lied through their teeth about “rape” to get out of trouble.
