When California's attorney general counters the president’s State of the Union address with the Democrats' Spanish language rebuttal Tuesday, it won’t be the first time Xavier Becerra has taken swings at Donald Trump's policies.
In fact, according to the Democrats, Becerra has filed more than 100 legal actions - 45 of them lawsuits - against the Trump administration.
Becerra's response will be delivered through Spanish language media outlets live Tuesday night, while Stacey Abrams, who ran unsuccessfully for Georgia governor, will deliver the Democratic response in English. This will be the first time the Spanish-language Democratic response has been delivered live, a Democratic aide said.
For those who tune in, Becerra said they can expect some tough talk. NBC News' sister network Telemundo, as well as Univision, will air his speech as soon as the president's 9 p.m. EST speech ends.
"I always go for the fences and this won't be any different," Becerra told NBC News in a telephone interview.
Americans "don't have to be hoodwinked on what the true state of the union is when it's not so good," he said.

WHY ARE WE ALLOWING CITIZENS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES
ENTERING ILLEGALLY RIGHTS THAT THEIR COUNTRY DENY US HAVING???
It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen doing so. Subject to reciprocal citizen treatment a citizen of the United States receives in Mexico through the Mexican constitution on citizenship .
Besides being unable to vote one must also be a citizen to own land and Mexico is very restrictive about granting citizenship. Because of that a US citizen besides not being able to vote,and cannot have title in their name to any land property in Mexico. And until that is changed the US and the affected state should consider making that reciprocal.prohibiting citizens of Mexico or countries with similar restrictions from doing both voting and land ownership..

But, but Spanish is an inherently transphobic language. Every noun is either female or male. No nongenders, binary genders, 2 spirit genders etc. Spanish should be verboten as well as Arabic, French and Italian. All transphobic languages.

Does NBC give equal time for a Republican response, or translate the SOTU to Spanish? Otherwise it is not a rebuttal; just some guy saying the President said “A” and the demonic rats say “B”.
