In its Monday story, the Washington Post acknowledged investigating the claims and deciding not to publish. But it said the Fairfax statement “incorrectly” claimed the paper found “significant red flags and inconsistencies within the allegations.”
“Fairfax and the woman told different versions of what happened in the hotel room with no one else present,” the paper said. “The Washington Post could not find anyone who could corroborate either version.”
The Washington Post didn’t name the accuser. But the paper said Fairfax and the woman met first met in Boston at the 2004 Democratic National Convention.

Yeah, I agree.
Though I think nobody should get railroaded because of a rape claim, the left is certainly going to have a hard time defending Fairfax since the woman seems to be pretty much in their corner. Especially since she supposed to be some kind of an expert in the area of sexual assault.
Although it would seem to make a bit of sense if she got into that particular area because of a traumatic experience, i.e., Fairfax.

How far down the chain do you have to go in VA to get to a successor who is a Republican? I realize in CA the answer is infinity, but somewhere in VA there has to be an officeholder, north of Dogcatcher, who is GOP...
As much as I want to see these evil Rats get theirs, I must admit I agree with you.
I can believe she was just naive in going to his room regarding “some papers”but the “consensual kissing” makes me quite skeptical.

He’s supposed to have some “gay slurs” in his background. So it might become a matter of which identity-politics group that the Dems are willing to tick off.

At this rate it will be the guy running the video story in Virginia Beach being the only one left that can take the job.

Not only that, $50B is just the “dangle”. It will end up being something like $1M in assets because there isn’t enough money in people over $50B.

It might depend on who resigns first, since the the Governor appoints someone to serve as Lt Gov if that office is vacant. A real mess they got there.

Virginia has been raped and vilified as racists. Ironic that Northam Virginia which includes Fairfax county gave us this problem.
