Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax issued a forceful pre-dawn denial on Monday to an allegation of sexual assault that surfaced after 15 years, in the latest political bombshell to rock Richmond where Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam is battling resignation calls over a racist photo from his medical school yearbook.
Fairfax, who would be next in line for governor should Northam bow to pressure and resign, called the allegation “defamatory” and “false.”
“Lt. Governor Fairfax has an outstanding and well-earned reputation for treating people with dignity and respect,” the statement from his office read. “He has never assaulted anyone—ever—in any way, shape, or form.”

THE RNC threw VA under the bus four elections cycles ago. We just are not Establishment enough for them. They still can’t get over the Cantor revolt. We are being punished for doing what we wanted instead of digesting the milquetoast they want to feed us.
Some on the left said Booker can be forgiven because he admitted he did it. But Kavanaugh can’t be forgiven because he didn’t admit he did it (doesn’t matter if he did/didn’t do it).
Seems like Fairfax should just admit he did it and apologize even if he didn’t do it. /sarc

If the media airing or not airing allegations is evidence of truth or falsehood, then those words no longer have any meaning whatsoever.

It must be a terrible time for good women such as here on FR.
We men have been going through that since that ugly Harvey Weinstein and his type caused women to say all of us men are somehow guilty. Unless proven innocent.
We are not all Hollywood and TV predators-—and the few good women in the U S (the ones on FR) are not leftist, egotistical, selfish schemers who kill babies by abortion to avoid having the women’s career paths slowed down.
I still hold a grudge against “the suburban women voters who hate Trump so much they vote Dem.”
Please look analytically at each woman’s face in this photo.
We see them everywhere. Stay away from as many as you can. Their evil could rub off on you.

Unfortunately, the 2nd in line, after the Lt. Gov., is the Attorney General. That is currently Mark Herring, who is a hideous, gun grabbing, radical Progressive.

The fact that Fox ran the story tells me there’s at least some credibility to the claim.

There are other forces at work here. My cynical side thinks that someone else - or maybe the same people as before - have been using the NSA database and doing deep SQL queries on Northam and Fairfax. Hope I am wrong, but my gut tells me something like this has happened. Either it is someone on the GOP side, or it is an internal battle on the left. Notice how the previous governor - forget his name - has been so honorably and so quickly calling on Northam to resign? He’s probably tied at the hip to the contractors on the left who got their grimy little paws on the NSA database.
The inquiry must proceed based only on the seriousness of the charge
Well then...
Let’s have a nationwide, televised dog and pony show and see who we believe.

However .... there may be a little fly in the ointment - the Dems are all racist, all the time.
Check out Clarice Feldman’s article ... I’ll give you the gist of it, which is about how the Dems have already treated Lt. Gov. Fairfax .... the next in line after Fairfax is Atty General Mark Herring. He’s white, but he’s a really horrible radical progressive that they can count on to do on steroids what Northam was doing.

Luckily for Northam, the media was not at all interested in his background or even his own conduct during the 2017 campaign, where three weeks before the election he removed from flyers the name and photograph of Justin Fairfax, the black man running on his own ticket for lieutenant governor. In 2016, Fairfax was denied a speaking slot at the Democratic Party of Virginia’s state convention and dinner.
On the other hand, black interest groups, which like Planned Parenthood contended on Friday that Northam should resign, would love to see a Governor Fairfax. The question is whether the party that kept Fairfax from speaking at its convention and kept silent when his visage was removed from campaign flyers is confident enough that its members wouldn’t bolt at the notion of a black governor.
That guy has an impressive gut.
