Michael Moore says Dems need to accept far-left Cortez as party leader: 'No middle ground anymore'

Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore declared U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez the new leader of the Democratic Party, while urging political moderates to take a position because there “is no middle ground anymore.”

“She is the leader. Everybody knows it. Everybody feels it,” Moore said of the freshman congresswoman from New York during a Friday interview on MSNBC.

Moore said the age requirement to run for president - 35 - should be constitutionally amended so that Ocasio-Cortez could make a play for the White House. He said Ocasio-Cortez is the leader of a movement, citing a Fox News poll that showed voters favored her proposal to increase the tax rate to 70 percent for the richest Americans.

Moore also urged those with moderate views to “take a position,” in response to a question about whether someone like Ocasio-Cortez, with very progressive politics, could turn off moderates.

he has no understanding that with the party moving to the left as it has that the next step in the evolution of the demacrat party is going to be the persecution of people like him who have supported leftist ideology but live a life of luxury and privilege. the moment he does something that is counter to the wants of another sociopath or psychopath that is now in charge of the party he will be gone after to do one of two things. get rid of or gain control of him. all Michael Moore is to this group is an asset to be controlled by this group or destroyed out of fear that he will do the same.

Eisenhower dropped it to 70%. Kennedy dropped it even further, 50% I think. Reagan dropped it to 36% which is about where it has remained since. However, during the past almost eighty years of fluctuations to the top tax rate the Net Effective Tax Rate for the top bracket has remained constant at 19%. What does this mean? It means that the Uber Weakthy are smarter than the rest of us or they employ people who are smarter than us so to avoid paying such ridiculously high rates. Smoke and mirrors, that’s all. Makes the liberal kool-aide drinkers feel good 😂....
