Looks like a construction project of a tall steel slatted fence in progress somewhere on the border.

99% of illegals are lucky to own a good hammer.
3000% easier to remove electronic surveillance than a 4” thick steel columns fence. A steel fence high enough to break your ankle bones if you jump is better than no fence.
A concrete wall is not going to happen, so it should not be thought of as a legitimate option.

But you see with that type of wall, no future politician will easily remove that. I’m sure they would try, but that is the type of wall that would stand the test of time.

The first new segments are scheduled to break ground this month on either side of McAllen, Texas. 14 miles of massive Hurricane rated levee wall, topped with 18 foot bollards.
Right in the area with the highest flow of illegal immigrants.
I would be 100% behind a big beautiful solid wall 40’ high and 6’ wide made of concrete blocks. But until there is money appropriated for such a wall, I am OK about any steel fence which makes it MUCH MORE INCONVENIENT to cross the border illegally. Nothing is 100% proof barrier. Even bank vaults get broken into. I would be satisfied with a 95% effective barrier to BEGIN with.

He's always lived by the credo of accepting the way things are and not trying for the right thing to be done.
A temporary metal fence is what is acceptable.

The 18 foot bollards with the anti-climb plates are roughly the high end of no-kill height. The plates defeat most climbers a few feet lower, while their feet are only about eight feet off the ground.
The 30 foot barriers will kill more than half of those who fall from near the tops.

Trump can probably get them to agree to everything other than the border wall. He should get everything else from. The negotiations and say he’ll sign it without the wall. They’ll be so happy to “beat” him that they’ll probably give up anything for it. Then he can build it (continue) anyways
Drove by our new animal shelter and court building while in town and it hit me. Materials are about half the cost. Labor roughly the other major part.

That doesn’t work out in practice. You still pay their salary, but on top of that you have to pay though the nose for travel, and build facilities to house them, feed them, wash clothes, remove waste, etc., etc..
Contracting with folks who already live there, and specialize in what they are doing, is the cheapest course of action.
