OK, so even if I do sell drugs, who am I actually harming any more than the dude operating the liquor store or vape shop down the street?
And since when is it OK for a “search for evidence” to turn into a judge, jury, and executioner situation? Especially with only an anonymous tip and paid informant’s word to go on?
There are a few states in this country where the “no, I’m not going to give my name, but I have seen military style guns being carried in and out of that house” would be enough to get this type of treatment.
When they start hauling folks off to the camps because of how they vote or which church they attend, they will have a solid foundation of precedent on their side and a whole bunch of folks that were cheering them on at this stage because, you know, the people getting killed without any due process at all were just filthy drug dealers...
I guess when you do certain things, you just stop being a person that has any rights. Interesting ‘thought process’ there.
This article is a rush to judgement before all the facts are known, AND another push for gun control. I’m sensing an agenda.

Cops have said they recovered marijuana from the home. They won’t say had much. They have also said the recovered some “white dust.”

Are you Alexandria Ocasio Cortez? That is the dumbest question I've seen in a long, long time.
Drug trafficking, addiction and usage diminishes the quality of life of EVERYONE. There are more deaths each year due to intoxication of some kind than due to murder. That doesn't include the cost of addiction which costs taxpayers. Or the cost of theft when drug addicts don't have money to get a fix.
Even though I live in the Houston area, I have not followed this story closely. I only watch local news for traffic and weather. I assumed it was a raid on some bad dudes from a Mexican cartel. Yesterday, I saw that it was a couple in their 50's who have lived at the address for a number of years. Neighbors said they were "normal" people who walked their dog like normal people do. I believe the newreader said "there were often people showing up late at night".
I hope this isn't a case of mistaken identity. But with a numnutts police chief like Art Acevedo, anything is possible.
Name one country that has legalized all recreational drugs. You won't find one. Why do you think that is? You don't thinks someone using mind altering drugs isn't a danger to other citizens?
When someone in plain clothes comes busting through your door and immediately opens fire you really don't have time to sort those niceties out. One of the most common tactics home invasion robbers/killers use is to yell "police" when they come busting through your door. That's why proper procedure is to have a tactical team serve the warrant - no question you're dealing with police when they come in. At a minimum they should have had the uniformed offices come through the door first. This one was on the cops.

Well, in Houston, there IS a 7815 HARDY Street in addition to the 7815 HARDING Street where the deadly raid took place.
I guess I’m withholding judgement until ALL the facts come out but THEY MUST COME OUT.
Because usually a controlled buy is done by a CI who is working off a case of their own. Cops don't want to give up their snitches. If the undercover cop did the buy they usually wait until they've bought as much from as many as the can before they serve the warrants because once the first arrest goes down everyone now knows that guy is a cop.
I read somewhere that this address was at 78something Hardee and 78samesomething Hardy is a known crack house.

You sound like a Sovereign Citizen...are you? I hate to break it to you, but city and county police orgs are duly appointed to enforce the laws enacted by those elected to represent the people of said city or county. Further, they are also certified and authorized by the state. Those “Sovereign Citizens” who refuse to submit to that authority are BREAKING THE LAW.
“Knock” and “no knock” warrants are ISSUED and SIGNED by a JUDGE who has been presented evidence of its necessity. NO COP will breach ANY home without one, UNLESS there is an immediate threat to himself or others. Plain clothes are often a necessity, and they will still wear face masks toprotect their undercover status.
“Lights and sirens for 10 secs”? Raids depend on surprise, most of the time, to keep perps from running, which requires a chase, which endangers others. “1 min” for the perp to answer. That’s plenty of time to destroy evidence, flush the dope and hide the guns and/or barricade. BRILLIANT idea! (snark).
One officer IS giving the commands- BEFORE the raid. A team yells at the perps to keep them off guard and give them orders, not to mention, info back and forth to each other.

If you were half as smart as you think you are, you'd be dangerous.
Apparently their stupid plan went south on them this time. But why kick in the door when they know the home is occupied at all? Wait till they go to the grocery store, bar, where ever. One team nabs them on the street while the other searches the unoccupied dwelling.
Nobody gets shot, well except the dog which seems to be SOP these days, and the arrest gets made.
This no knock crap is getting far too many innocent people killed and injured. They should be reserved for only the most extreme of circumstances.

1. They got the right address
