Sen. Sherrod Brown said he backs a proposal from Sen. Kamala Harris to abolish private health insurance.
“I like Kamala,” Brown told MSNBC when asked if he would consider appearing on a ticket alongside Harris in the 2020 elections. “I was amazed at somebody called her un-American today for a proposal she had on health insurance … I stand with her on that, we have stood together on a number of issues, and I think very highly of her.”
Brown, D-Ohio, on Wednesday will launch a tour aimed at promoting a possible White House run in 2020, and has said it should become clear whether he runs in the next few weeks.
Harris, D-Calif., announced last week on Martin Luther King Jr. Day that she was entering the race for the White House in 2020, and kicked off her campaign with a rally in Oakland on Sunday.
A day later, Harris told CNN, “we need to have Medicare for all,” and endorsed the elimination of private health insurance.
"The idea is that everyone gets access to medical care and you don't have to go through the process of going through an insurance company, having them give you approval, going through all the paperwork, all of the delay that may require," Harris said during a CNN town hall Monday night. "Who of all us have not had that situation where you have to wait for approval and the doctor says, 'I don't know if your insurance company is going to cover this.'"
“Let’s eliminate all of that. Let’s move on," she said.
After receiving backlash for proposing a complete elimination of the current healthcare system, Harris walked back a bit on her comments.
Harris’ national press secretary Ian Sams said less than 24 hours after the initial comments that the senator is willing to back healthcare proposals that would not eliminate private health insurance.
“Medicare for all is the plan that she believes will solve the problem and get all Americans covered. Period,” Sams told CNN. “She has co-sponsored other pieces of legislation that she sees as a path to getting us there, but this is the plan she is running on.”
It’s ultimately their goal.

Socialized medicine, just a new way of saying it. What they really want is government and politics to decide who gets what and when.

You know, the way the Nordics do things - just raid anything that smacks of (Christian) civilization, drink the mead and beer, rape the white women, kill the white men, burn everything to the ground and carry off the gold. And when we get tired of winters, we will raid Sicily.
Before you get all warm and fuzzy, remember this. Anyone on the planet will be eligible to receive Harris’ “healthcare”. So, what do you think your wait time is going to be to see a doctor. Two, Three years? What do you think your deductible is going to be?
Yeah, I can agree with that. Only caveat would be that I would call her un-American every day.
I’m curious. If this proposal goes through, will Congress exempt itself?
(It’s a rhetorical question. Of course Congress will exempt itself. They’ll certainly keep their gold-plated plan.)

Instead of doctors and insurance making decisions, with the ability to pay as an override, they want a system where the government forces care for Dim voters, while the rest of the people get no care.

And we all know what Come-on-all Harris does to further her career.
It looks like Sherrod is looking for somebody new to “hook up” with and “hang out”. Boink! Boink! Boink!

6. Buy $20 worth of crepe paper and balloons for campaign rallies.

Unless they hire their own medical staff, there won’t be any to be had at any price.................
The government running healthcare as a solution. Because it’s well established how efficient government agencies are.
