Given how Joe Scarborough has vilified Donald Trump for years, the Morning Joe host could be the world's least likely character witness for the President.
But ironically, Scarborough's overt animus toward Trump makes him that much more credible when he says something positive about the Presidentas he did on today's Morning Joe. Scarborough swore thathaving known Trump for 12 yearshe had never in private heard him utter a racially-insensitive word.
"We [gestures toward Mika] saw him for 12 years behind closed doors. Never, ever, onceI'll say under oath, I'll put into an affidavitnever once heard him say anything close to being racially insensitive. Never once!"

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
So they moved their set to Sunny Florida to avoid taxes and they still us a WH photo behind them to pretend like their show is in DC?
Well, this is YUGE! I expect to see Scarborough thoroughly vilified by the rest of the MSM over this.
going against the mob branding Trump as a racist isn’t going to make Joe any friends. Wonder what’s up?
This guy comes to his senses about once every 3 or 4 months...then it’s back to lala land.
So Sweaty Armpits Amarosa lied? Thats impossible, shes a licensed minister!
LMAO
Butt, butt, butt..............his rhetoric proves his a racis’, misogynistic, hater. Or something.
In keeping with the Left’s hatred of Trump, the fact that Scarborough didn’t *personally* hear Trump say anything racially insensitive doesn’t exclude the fact that Trump has and probably continues to say and think racially insensitive thoughts. At least that will be the followup.
WOW for ONCE in his life Joe said something..TRUE..did hell freeze over?
Joe’s sleeping on the couch tonight.
Trump is “white”, therefore Trump is racist.
Many years ago my wife had a friend who was also a nurse who went to work for one of Trump’s businesses. For some reason she had frequent contact with him and always told my wife what a gentleman he was and how much she liked working for him. This was many years ago, but this is one of the reasons we supported him very early on.
He has always had a flamboyant media persona but underneath he has always been a very agreeable person. I think that is one of the reasons that it has been very hard for the media to take him down. Many people understand this very well deep down at a level that is hard to shake.
Scarborough has multiple personality disorder...or something.
That's why people who define themselves as "anti-something", in most cases are no better than those that are what they are anti about.
I hear that Joe moved to Florida so he wouldn’t have to pay more in taxes..such a good lil commie
Eventually theyll all need to close up shop or get on board. The We Hate Trump, So Must You shows are going to become irrelevant even to their followers. This could be Scarboroughs steering them away from the tedium
Theyll always here Trump and will get a regular dig in. But its like a tantrum. It runs out of energy and purpose
I watched my four year old have a tantrum once. It wS a perfect storm of fatigue hunger and frustration over some want.
I didnt feed it just stayed close so she didnt feel abandoned. By the end I was laughing (secretly). The situation would end the behavior would be a waste of effort she wouldnt repeat (never happened again)
Same with these people, only they have a lot of people encouraging it. It will stop. Trump doesnt care. His base doesnt care.
To clarify: Scarborough did say that Trump had never said anything racist in private.
But Joe said it to bemoan the fact that Trump has chosen a race-baiting public persona.
