I watched my four year old have a tantrum once. It wS a perfect storm of fatigue hunger and frustration over some want.
I didn’t feed it just stayed close so she didn’t feel abandoned. By the end I was laughing (secretly). The situation would end the behavior would be a waste of effort she wouldn’t repeat (never happened again)
Same with these people, only they have a lot of people encouraging it. It will stop. Trump doesn’t care. His base doesn’t care.

My theory is that the MSM insiders know that the Mueller report is going to be a big, fat dud, and they’ll be forced to admit that they wasted two years of scarce air time on a fake news story started by Hillary. They’re trying to cushion that blow before it hits in the next couple of weeks.
