House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Blocks President Trump Entry into Capitol Building – Confirms State of Union Speech Cancellation…
It looks like Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi has no intention of allowing the House chamber to be used for a State of the Union address.
Speaker Pelosi has informed the House Sergeant at Arms that no executive branch official will be permitted entry into the Capitol building.
Earlier Fox News reported Pelosi cancelled a walkthrough last week, and a second request for reconsideration from the White House is expected to meet the same fate. The House Speaker controls who is, and who is not, permitted entry to the House floor. Until Speaker Pelosi calls for a vote to support a joint session of congress, the President cannot enter the chamber.
Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley discusses the status of the current shutdown negotiations and the likelihood a SOU address will have to take place outside Washington DC.

No, actually he cannot adjourn Congress. He can call Congress into special session, but the president has no right to address the legislative branch directly. All of which said, who cares? I have long believed the whole SOTU thing was a political circus and we need to go back to sending it up in writing. Trump should one up Pelosi and refuse to address congress... ever.

A quick google search shows no mention of this. The only similar story is Trump daring Pelosi to do this, by Breitbart 4 hrs ago.

He can do the State of the Union directly from the WHITE HOUSE, the oval office..give a presidential address..invite the Angel Moms and Dads.
The Democrat Speaker of the House apparently believes she has the upper hand with President Trump, and I believe is trying to force him to make his SOTU presentation in writing to her where she would then be able to spin it at will.
Does she not think the Senate will provide access to the President to make his SOTU address?
Does she not think the President can make use of other resources to make the presentation.
I believe she is of the impression he has to make the SOTU presentation directly to her/the House to comply with the periodic update to Congress of the SOTU, and therefore thinks she has him where she wants him, thus her arrogance, and abusive attitude.
Until further notice I do believe Mrs. Pelosi is an idiot.
See Senate Concurrent Resolution 39, from the 104th Congress. The Senate can initiate the concurrent resolution. Initiating the concurrent resolution does not depend on the Speaker of the House.
I believe she’s too far gone with dementia to realize what she’s doing.

Plan a rally somewhere in middle America and do it there. Emphasize that this is the part of the country the left despises and is hurt the most by Washington.
