The Democrat Speaker of the House apparently believes she has the upper hand with President Trump, and I believe is trying to force him to make his SOTU presentation in writing to her where she would then be able to spin it at will.
Does she not think the Senate will provide access to the President to make his SOTU address?
Does she not think the President can make use of other resources to make the presentation.
I believe she is of the impression he has to make the SOTU presentation directly to her/the House to comply with the periodic update to Congress of the SOTU, and therefore thinks she has him where she wants him, thus her arrogance, and abusive attitude.

I think, for optics sake, the Senate makes the most sense. House members can be invited to attend, and they can sit in folding chairs behind the Senators. Trump can still recognize angel parents in the balcony and have Congresspeople giving him standing ovations, and look like the adult in the room compared to Nancy, who won’t show up. He can talk about how extraordinary it is for the House Speaker to deny him the House for his State of the Union, first time in probably 100 years. Didn’t happen when Republicans had the House under Obama, didn’t happen when Dems had it under Reagan, Nixon or Eisenhower, didn’t happen when Republicans had the House under Truman. She is truly an historic bitch.
