Trump talked about bipartisanship and this as a downpayment to fixing the larger immigration system. Good for McConnell for putting this to a Senate vote at least.

I knew I did not like her. I watched the Trump speech on FNC ( they did play it live..kudos). After Trump spoke Arthel what ever her name is came on and she was disgraceful! Her snide comments were just too much. Someone should show her the pictures of the "rape trees" for a start.

The Dems want citizenship, so the people can vote here. Trump appeared to offer them something but it’s not what they want.
The result now may be that some of the dreamers would like the 3 years’ reprieve from legislation. So it divides the group a bit.
It seems he knew totally what he was doing. The “one way or the other line” tells everyone that he is not backing down, nor should he. The drug problem is now totally out of control, and it’s all coming through the southern border. The cheapening with fentanyl is causing the deaths. Got to stop it. Our people are dying from this scourge.

We fight against unconstitutional gun laws. Why are we allowing the states to flout federal law? The situation is wildly out of control with too many rotten people making money off of it.

Unfortunately our representatives really do not want a secure border.....obviously after this long it’s not hard to see they didn’t,.....don’t now.....and won’t in the future.
I don’t know what Trump can do to get this for us.... maybe tell all the caravans to go to California and let them in freely while he shuts off all federal help and declares california lost to mexico!

Wouldn't it be a spectacle if Democrat intransigence resulted in a lesser deal in the long run? Would Pelosi's base insist on asking for an earlier reject offer? Would they keep pushing, even from a losing position, to regain what Pelosi rejected out of hand?
