Neat idea, but as before me, won’t make any diff.
Looking sharp California!
$600K sounds like an average lot price in San Jose.
I just had a brand new 10x12 Tuff Shed with 2 windows put in. Its pretty and would make a nice tiny home. My handyman is going to run electricity to it. Ive spent $4800. If I wanted to add a kitchenette and a marine porta party plus insulation, etc I could probably up it another $6-700. My 2000 sq ft house is not even worth $600k. Sheesh!
Grew up in San Jose - don’t miss it at all. Filled with “Not in my backyard” Liberals.
$600,000.00 per container as a cost ARE THEY KIDDING ME??? I live in CA. and you can still buy a single family home for $500,000.00 I wonder whose pockets are being lined by this disgusting program!!!
600K for a SeaLand container?
LMAO!
I lived in half a 8’x40’ cargo container for almost a year when I was at Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti. They must have had 50 units set up like this for senior NCOs and junior officers. Private bath, A/C, cable, microwave, and coffee maker. All the necessities and easy to keep clean.
Why these would these cost $600K-— well it is California. Got to have more money for the illegals.
$600,000 for a recycled shipping container? Someone is making a fortune off of that taxpayer funded deal. I wonder who?
how much could a container, a blanket, and a piss pot cost?
Yep - leaves LOTS of cash for slush-fund kickbacks...
Good enough for troops in 3rd-world crapholes.
Good enough for them.
Hope a rainstorm doesn’t wash their crap & garbage (there IS a difference) into river.
I can’t help comparing this to how to go about catching a skunk with a food container/trap.
Then load the containers onto a container ship bound for Caracas.
600K buys a lot of house in most places.
$600k for a tiny house built from a shipping container?
It[s not their money so they don’t care.
