New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez relies on a lot of economic ignorance to get you to believe what's not true could be true.
The reason she prefers to use a marginal tax rate as a talking point is because she believes it wouldn't affect the overwhelming majority of Americans and that she can get public support for it. She assumes that most Americans will say, “Hey, it's not gonna affect me -- it's just going to screw people who make $10 million or more.”
The problem is, (and I'll give you some numbers in just a moment) her entire basis - the economic basis - for this is nonsense is based on garbage talking points.
Now, just to be clear. Let’s say you made $11,000,000 -- you would pay a 30 percent tax rate on every dollar you made from zero to $10 million. You would only pay that 70 percent rate on a million bucks.
Well, where's the million dollars come from? It comes from the million you made over $10 million. If you make $11,000,000 per year, you would only pay that 70 percent rate on $1,000,000.

My theory is because she is young and they think good looking, so they are promoting the hell out of her to get the millineals out to vote, it’s sort of like a JFK thing “Out with the old in with the new and young” but the problem is she’s an utter moron and they’re too stupid to realize it.
Term limits more than anything. The fact that those two pieces of treasonous scum like Schumer and Pelosi can be in office for so long is outrageous to me. Chuck Schumer has never ever held a real job in his life. He graduated law school, went right into politics 1975 and never practiced law in his life. That’s 44 years, almost half a century the country has had to deal with that a-hole, same with the drunken killer Ted Kennedy who WAS in office half a century!! Reelected even after he deliberately murdered a woman to cover up an affair.
No matter what she says or does the truly wealthy will never pay. When marginal tax rates were 90% in the middle of the 20th century the wealthy had so many deductions they paid a much lower effective rate and some multi millionaires paid nothing.
When running for president Trump talked about eliminating the special “carried interest” provisionin the tax code that benefits so many of the ultra wealthy in the investment community. As soon as he was elected he went silent even though eliminating carried interest would have paid for much of the tax cuts. New York investment bankers, silicon valley venture capitalists, private equity firm partners and good old Warren Buffet all benefit from carried interest. The new darling of the left does’t mention it which suggests she has already been spoken to and has fallen in line.

The mass media is orchestrated by a Commission of Propaganda that comes up with the phrases and agenda of the day. For certain there is not a conservative or fair minded Christian citizen anywhere to be found.
He is one smart guy. They need to give him Laura Ingraham’s time slot. She has way too many insufferable liberals on. Totally unwatchable. Bongino would be bring in big ratings.
Put a 70% tax on everything over 10 million, and you just assure that nobody will make over 10 million.
Put a insane 8%+ sales tax on instate sales, and you just assure that everyone shops online.
Put a $5 or more tax on a pack of cigarettes and everyone will buy them from the Rez, or overseas.
She doesn’t consider herself rich in this case.

Davie Crocket served one term in the House. He said it was the next man’s turn. I think a butcher replaced him in the House. The butcher also left after one term.
Most of her income will be under the table so it is easy for her to take that challenge.
We had dinner, the other night, with a couple we’ve know for over 50 years. He’s a retired NYC detective and she’s a retired teacher. We had a very heated discussion about the border. He doesn’t think a wall will work because they will tunnel under it and they both don’t believe that illegals are voting or getting drivers licenses. Needless to say it became a very heated conversation.
He also said that he’s worked with Rudy ,who he thinks has lost it, Comey, who he said WAS a standup guy and Mueller who is the epitome of morality. I filled them in on Mueller and his involvement with Whitey Bulger. Sent them some articles by Dershowitz and Howie Carr...haven’t heard back.
Oh man what is he kidding? Tell him I live out in Riverhead Long Island now, farm country where I personally know illegals who are not only driving, but have DWIs and are reporting to probation officers rather than get deported. One I know has paid $12,000 to stay in the country. It’s so corrupt it’s insane. And does he think the NY Post is lying? For the past 20 years they’ve been reporting on the fake IDs and stolen SS #s and nothing is done. This goes on in Mass. as well..And Mueller is the epitome of morality? LOL! Oh man, what the hell. My dad is a retired NYPD Sargent and we don’t know any cop who thinks like that. New York, Mass. are so corrupt it’s crazy, does he forget Bloomberg and his “the city will collapse without illegals” platform? That guy was actively encouraging all this as does DeBlasio now who announced 2 weeks ago he was giving them free health care. Look at this, they were even getting fakes IDs from the DMV!!
Look at this one, Roosevelt ave? I use to live a block away from that street and saw it first hand. They would get the fake IDs and then make a beeline for the welfare office and the DMV
