Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.

Did you survive Monday Madness? I am hanging on by my fingertips.

Brrr! Y’all are way colder than we are. You must be farther north than us. Hope you get your shopping done before the mercury takes that plunge!

I missed the snow at DH. I was napping at that time, I guess. Or having dinner.LOL!

Well, it didn’t rain today but there was no sunshine to help dry things out. We might get a little of that the next couple of days before more rain comes in Thurs.

No big shakes up your way today. A lot of small ones but they were far off enough to not rattle y’all.

We’ve had a couple in the mountains the past two days - a 3 yesterday and 2.7 today - but too far away for us to feel them. That fault is still shaking though.

When is Monday EVER a good day for you at work? :-)

We are a bit north of you. LOL!
But recall you were colder than us last week so it’s all in where the cold fronts lie. It sounds like we’ll both get hit by the same one this weekend so that one is going to dip low from the sound if it. We’ll only be frigid for a day, they say, then back to the 40s on Monday.
It’s supposed to be in the mid 50s Wed. so grocery shopping won’t be misery.

The snowfall still shows on the DH cam, close to the beginning of the rewind.

Thanks for letting me know. I was able to see it, but it sounded more like rain than snow. Glad it has quit. And that you didn’t get any of it!

I hope they aren’t going to name this coming cold front. That’s so silly. And hope it doesn’t get as cold for you as predicted! You’ll have to weat 2 pairs of socks!

There was probably some sleet mixed with it and that made it sound louder but it was primarily snow. There were light snow showers across a few of the northern counties this evening. They call for freezing fog overnight and I suppose we’ll get some of that since we have the big lake here.

I’m with ya on hoping they don’t name this cold front. Just ridiculous that they do that at all.
I’ll be dressed in layers Sat. night into Mon. morning as cold as it will get. If there’s wind, this old house will be downright nippy for sure. At least it’s a short cold spell.

I’ll bet that was the case. Sleet can be very noisy. I wouldn’t mind having a snow that would melt overnight. It just doesn’t seem winter without at least one. I’d also see how the kittens react to it. :)

Hope you have lots of quilts and kitties around you so you can stay cozy when you sleep.

I could go a winter without seeing a snowflake and be quite happy. LOL! I belong on a tropical island where it’s warm all the time. That would be bliss!

You should move to FL. It’s all that and in a lot of the places, not that expensive to live. But TN is gorgeous and I don’t blame you for wanting to stay where you are.

No way. I’ve lived in FL a few times and didn’t like it.

I’ll just deal with cold weather a few months out of the year and stay right here. It IS mighty pretty here.

I didn’t know you had lived there. LOL! I don’t think I’d like it either. Hurricanes.

At least by the time the hurricanes reach you, they’ve calmed down somewhat.

I lived there back in the ‘70s, a short period each time. I moved around a lot back then trying to figure out where I wanted to call home. Fall, winter, and spring weren’t too bad but the last time I was there, I got into summertime and said NOPE.
By then I’d lived in Raleigh a little while and decided I liked it best so moved back and stayed there for the next 14 years.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Did you get your new fridge delivered in time to be able to head out to the lake for a bit?
