The Obama-era policy of integrating women into ground combat units is a misguided social experiment that threatens military readiness and wastes resources in the service of a political agenda. The next defense secretary should end it.
In September 2015 the Marine Corps released a study comparing the performance of gender-integrated and male-only infantry units in simulated combat. The all-male teams greatly outperformed the integrated teams, whether on shooting, surmounting obstacles or evacuating casualties. Female Marines were injured at more than six times the rate of men during preliminary trainingunsurprising, since mens higher testosterone levels produce stronger bones and muscles. Even the fittest women (which the study participants were) must work at maximal physical capacity when carrying a 100-pound pack or repeatedly loading heavy shells into a cannon.
Ignoring the Marine study, then-Defense Secretary Ash Carter opened all combat roles to women in December 2015. Rather than requiring new female combat recruits to meet the same physical standards as men, the military began crafting gender neutral standards in the hope that more women would qualify. Previously, women had been admitted to noncombat specialties under lower strength and endurance requirements.
Only two women have passed the Marine Corpss fabled infantry-officer training course out of the three dozen who have tried. Most wash out in the combat endurance test, administered on day one. Participants hike miles while carrying combat loads of 80 pounds or more, climb 20-foot ropes multiple times, and scale an 8-foot barrier. The purpose of the test is to ensure that officers can hump their own equipment and still arrive at a battleground mentally and physically capable of leading troops. Most female aspirants couldnt pass the test, so the Marines changed it from a pass/fail requirement to an unscored exercise with no bearing on the candidates ultimate evaluation.

I think some women can be in some combat situations but only when tested and proved. The idea of just throwing all women into all combat situations is insane. Scientific Method; people! Come on!
But....but....when I watch movies these days, the women all kick the mens a$$es. How can that be>
anything you can do i can do better

Israel is often cited for women in combat. There is one battalion that is virtually all women with other units being mixed. This hasn’t been tested much in combat, but you’d think it would be a boon to patriotism.
Scorn them!
THAT’ll get ‘em moving!!
Heather Mac Donald is a treasure. She coined The Ferguson Effect and called out those pushing the anti-police narrative of the #BLM movement.
Rush Limbaugh was onto something...
All American First Cavalry Amazon Battalion
Until they desegregate bathrooms, berthing areas, Barracks... It’ll still all be segregated and therefore costing twice as much, while reducing deficiencies and readiness. We’ve all seen Alien 2 and 3 and whatever... The sexes (and now genders too) all do everything together! That’s the goal. It’s hard to believe that science fiction is a goal... But that’s kind of what it’s become
From Fall 2015, here are some comments Ive posted before from my nieces then boyfriend, now my nephew-in-law, on the women Rangers and the convenient loss of their training records. He had recently ended a Marine enlistment, was going to school on the GI Bill.
He was a Marine 240 gunner, spent time in Afghanistan, this guy is serious business, we probably wish hed gone to SEAL school, hed have had a much better than average shot at it. Heres his commentary on the Ranger school records debacle:
Oh trust me, Im aware. S*** makes my blood boil. Im not even phased by the fact that theyre deliberately hiding the records of the females performance. I can only imagine how heavily that course was catered to the females, not to mention the fact that they probably outranked the entire instructor cadre.
We had a female interpreter in afghan, she was at the Company COP so I never saw her. She ended up having an affair with our Co 1st Sgt (surprise).
We also worked with the Brits for a while, since they had a patrol base not far from my squads pb. They also happened to bring in a female interpreter...pregnant in under 2 months, and sent home. Probably got an award for it.
Even if there were females that could meet the minimum physical requirements for the infantry, that s*** will never work. Itll be detrimental to the combat effectiveness of whatever unit they end up in. Lets not forget the American victim mentality as of late. I cant even fathom how many sexual harassment cases that would be filed. Then the rape accusations, pregnancies, relationships affecting roles and promotions, oh and the fact that no woman on the planet could firemans carry my 240lb a** with 100+lbs of gear out of a kill zone.
Rant over.
< next email, a few minutes later>
Ok I lied, rant wasnt finished.
At the schoolhouse I taught at, we brought in non infantry units (POGs) and put them through several infantry centric courses. We had a strict standard of training and had no issues failing females or Marines that outranked us as instructors. This brought us some attention from higher ups on one occasion. A female warrant officer brought pizza for all 50 of her marines in our course. During their final exercise. We stopped her and reminded her of the fact that no outside food was permitted in our course. She returned with, The four females I have in the class are going to feel sexually harassed by you if you dont let them eat this pizza.
Needless to say, hes all in on keeping women out of combat arms.
Until they desegregate bathrooms, berthing areas, Barracks... It’ll still all be segregated and therefore costing twice as much, while reducing efficiencies and readiness. Women do just fine in combat situations, as long as there’s a man around in case anything goes wrong.
When the body bag pile gets high enough this will get rethought.
aren’t men and women supposed to be the same, and/or interchangeable? I guess not, but don’t expect the dem science denial party to believe scientific facts.
“Israel is often cited for women in combat. There is one battalion that is virtually all women with other units being mixed. This hasnt been tested much in combat, but youd think it would be a boon to patriotism.”
In Israel, a woman in combat is a psychological thing. Scares the crap out of the muzzie men.
“Women Dont Belong in Combat Units”
Common sense, a voice in the wilderness, and they don’t belong in the front lines of police work.
OH, if we could pick and chose who to send into combat it would solve a lot of problems. I can think of several females I’d like to send to the front lines.
When they put women in hardship areas, many tend to get knocked up as soon as possible so as to get their ticket out of the service, all the expense of training them flushed down the toilet.
Kick out all the women and you’re going to need to recruit a lot more guys. Where are you going to get them when the military is already having problems attracting recruits.
