I think some women can be in some combat situations but only when tested and proved. The idea of just throwing all women into all combat situations is insane. Scientific Method; people! Come on!

Israel is often cited for women in combat. There is one battalion that is virtually all women with other units being mixed. This hasn’t been tested much in combat, but you’d think it would be a boon to patriotism.

Heather Mac Donald is a treasure. She coined The Ferguson Effect and called out those pushing the anti-police narrative of the #BLM movement.

Only two women have passed the Marine Corps’s fabled infantry-officer training course out of the three dozen who have tried.

From Fall 2015, here are some comments I’ve posted before from my niece’s then boyfriend, now my nephew-in-law, on the women Rangers and the convenient loss of their training records. He had recently ended a Marine enlistment, was going to school on the GI Bill.

He was a Marine 240 gunner, spent time in Afghanistan, this guy is serious business, we probably wish he’d gone to SEAL school, he’d have had a much better than average shot at it. Here’s his commentary on the Ranger school records debacle:

“Oh trust me, I’m aware. S*** makes my blood boil. I’m not even phased by the fact that they’re deliberately hiding the records of the females’ performance. I can only imagine how heavily that course was catered to the females, not to mention the fact that they probably outranked the entire instructor cadre.

We had a female interpreter in afghan, she was at the Company COP so I never saw her. She ended up having an affair with our Co 1st Sgt (surprise).

We also worked with the Brits for a while, since they had a patrol base not far from my squads pb. They also happened to bring in a female interpreter...pregnant in under 2 months, and sent home. Probably got an award for it.

Even if there were females that could meet the minimum physical requirements for the infantry, that s*** will never work. It’ll be detrimental to the combat effectiveness of whatever unit they end up in. Let’s not forget the American “victim” mentality as of late. I can’t even fathom how many sexual harassment cases that would be filed. Then the rape accusations, pregnancies, relationships affecting roles and promotions, oh and the fact that no woman on the planet could firemans carry my 240lb a** with 100+lbs of gear out of a kill zone.

Rant over.

< next email, a few minutes later>

Ok I lied, rant wasn’t finished.

At the schoolhouse I taught at, we brought in non infantry units (POGs) and put them through several infantry centric courses. We had a strict standard of training and had no issues failing females or Marines that outranked us as instructors. This brought us some attention from higher ups on one occasion. A female warrant officer brought pizza for all 50 of “her” marines in our course. During their final exercise. We stopped her and reminded her of the fact that no outside food was permitted in our course. She returned with, “The four females I have in the class are going to feel sexually harassed by you if you don’t let them eat this pizza”.

Needless to say, he’s all in on keeping women out of combat arms.

Women do just fine in combat situations, as long as there’s a man around in case anything goes wrong.

aren’t men and women supposed to be the same, and/or interchangeable? I guess not, but don’t expect the dem science denial party to believe scientific facts.

When they put women in hardship areas, many tend to get knocked up as soon as possible so as to get their ticket out of the service, all the expense of training them flushed down the toilet.

Kick out all the women and you’re going to need to recruit a lot more guys. Where are you going to get them when the military is already having problems attracting recruits.

When I joined the USN in 1956 part of the reason was to ‘Get Away’ from mothers/girls/sissys/ and learn life from the ‘other side’ as most males in our lives had put out a VERY positive view of the Military.
Everyone wasn’t ‘expected’ to go to College - if you couldn’t ‘afford’ it or a scholarship, it was just a ‘dream’ and with the draft looming over ones head in a few years (I would have graduated at 17) it didn’t make much sense to ‘start a career’ then get drafted, leave for a couple of years then come back and start over again.

We had females but mostly in Admin/Medical-Dental fields and basically they ‘took up’ the shore billets.

Even when I went to the Pentagon in 62 the only women around (in MY office) were a few officers - I don’t remember any female Radiomen at the time.

‘We were the REAL Draft Dodgers’ according to Clinton and in an essence he was correct but not in truth/reality.

Also in 1956 or so, anyone caught with ‘hands’ where they didn’t belong, would surely face Brig time with a Dishonorable or Bad Conduct Discharge both of which could ‘ruin’ a persons life.

Like the old joke...
When I went in the Navy a homo and his/her actions were frowned upon,
then it was still ‘wrong’ but somewhat tolerable,
(still got kicked out but the stigma of a DD or BCD was removed as most got a General Discharge.)
So, ‘I’ got out before being a homo was MANDATORY.

I spent a career in the Marine Infantry (0311/0369). I’m sure that there are a very small percentage of women that can physically do the requirements of the infantry. You have to ask yourself, is it worth turning the Marine infantry topsy turvey to accommodate a couple women who want to be grunts?

This also does not take into account throwing a woman into a platoon of 39 men, mostly under 22 and full of testosterone. What people on the outside may not quite understand is that a platoon has to live and sleep together and become very close. I wouldn’t want my daughters being in a platoon full of testosterone filled young marines. This is coming from one of those former young testosterone filled young Marines.

Thank you for posting an important article that cannot be fully read unless you subscribe to the WSJ. I have been saying for several years women don’t belong in combat arms units or submarines any more than they belong in the NFL or MLB. It is a terrible left wing social experiment that refuses to take into account readiness and warfighting ability. I am extremely disappointed that Trump has not rescinded the order but with the Obama Generals that were around him, like Lap Dog Mattis, it is no wonder. Get rid of the policy NOW! All true. Women have skills that are useful in many areas but not out in Indian country. As a woman I know that men will always try to protect women at their own peril. It’s not right to put our precious young men in a bad situation and then make it worse. There is zero chance I could carry a 6ft 200 lb guy out of harms way. Then if they get captured the guys get to watch a bunch of monsters beat and rape their comrades in arms. The whole thing is a terrible idea.
