Gregg Jarrett: An FBI that is corrupt and dishonest -- Latest reports offer only more proof
Fox News ^ | January14, 2019 | Gregg Jarrett

Posted on 01/14/2019 4:07:15 AM PST by Zakeet

Dishonesty and corruption are endemic at the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The latest proof comes in a New York Times report that the FBI initiated an investigation in May of 2017 into whether President Donald Trump was serving as a covert Russian agent. The accusation itself was ludicrous on its face. But from a legal standpoint, the FBI's probe constituted an egregious abuse of power. The Bureau had no probable cause, no evidence, and no reasonable suspicions. They investigated Trump because they could. They defied the law, ignored or perverted facts, and debased the integrity of a heretofore-respected law enforcement agency.

Why did these rogue officials commit such an outrageous act of malfeasance? In a word, vengeance. Already incensed that Trump had defeated their preferred candidate, Hillary Clinton, they grew furious when the president fired Director James Comey on May 9, 2017. In reaction, they sought retribution. What better way to avenge Comey's firing than to launch a counterintelligence investigation of Trump under the false pretense that he committed treasonous acts for the benefit of the Kremlin and at the direction of President Vladimir Putin. Absent credible proof, information could be manipulated to frame Trump while a compliant media would gobble up the leaks and report the damaging charge. The election results could then be undone when the president was driven from office.

I’m getting pretty sick of hearing about it and seeing nothing change.

Get used to it. The got away with it. The story of the century and nobody in the MSM will run with it. A Pulitzer waiting to happen. This just shows how ideological the MSM really is. They are fascists.

Also not one whistle blower in the DoJ. Not one. The person that would leak all of those incriminating text messages will end up in Ft. Marcey Park.

If only 2 or 3 of the so-called “99 percent of the rank and file” would have stepped forward and claimed that there was a problem...I mean STEPPED FORWARD...going on TV, writing in to newspapers, talking to groups...I would have felt there was some hope for them.

BUT THEY DIDN’T AND I DON’T AND THEREFORE, AGREE, THE ENTIRE DEPARTMENTS MUST BE FUMIGATED. and soon!!!

And I mean PRISON.

I hear a lot that the honest agents at the FBI are disgusted by all this, yet none of them seem to be coming forward...

Too bad since it would really help with their image. Guess they only recruited Democrats the past 25 years at the bureau.

Anyone that stepped forward would be whacked and his family put in danger. I think it is fear more than the cravenness. But I could be wrong.

Yeah, on and on we go with even more evidence that the FBI is a hammer that the deep state wields against the American people; was anyone even a little surprised?

Now what are we going to do about it?

OMG, what kind of good FBI agents don’t have the male equipment to face danger. If not them, then WHO? Or even female equipment.

I’m not buying that, but I admit not long ago, I would have tried to defend them. No more.

I can’t tell you how much respect I do not have for them.
You get points for trying.

I hate their f-—ing guts. I am just trying to figure out if they are cowards or traitors. Neither is good.

When you think about it, a little old man named Corsi, whom I have grown to love, has come forward with not an ounce of fear. I believe that was when Mueller began thinking about “getting his report ready.”

JMHO.

“Those that are dirty should be given the option to quit or to lawyer up at their own expense.”

All of them hired during the Obama reign of terror should be summarily dismissed.

“They were banking on Hillary winning to sweep it all under the rug.”

They had to settle for Sessions sweeping it all under the rug.

I’m already used to it and don’t like it one bit. My comment was more about the endless stories making the case in a futile effort.

Tm Fitton, head of Judicial Watch, stated that the President is in charge of FOREIGN POLICY, not the FIBs. As they started the investigation AFTER POTUS was in office, their actions constitute SEDITION. Here is a link to look up Sedition and other related crimes check out https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/part-I/chapter-115

18 U.S. Code § 2384 - Seditious conspiracy, defined.

WIKIPEDIA defines Sedition as overt conduct, such as speech and organization, that tendstoward insurrection against the established order. Sedition often includes subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent towards, or resistance against established authority. Sedition may include any commotion, though not aimed at direct and open violence against the laws. Seditious words in writing are seditious libel. A seditionist is one who engages in or promotes the interest of sedition.

Federal Officials, such as FIB Agents have a special duty to report a crime. So failure to report a crime by Agents who knew of all the crap going down are guilty. Includes Supervisors and agents on the investigation.

United States federal law "Misprision of felony" is still an offense under United States federal law after being codified in 1909 under 18 U.S.C. § 4: Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

This offense, however, requires active concealment of a known felony rather than merely failing to report it.[9] If one knows that one is a target of a federal investigation, it is illegal under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act to erase one's browser history intentionally. Khairullozhan Matanov was prosecuted for erasing computer records about his friends, Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev; he pleaded guilty to a lesser included offense in 2015.[10][11] (APPLIES TO HILLARY CLINTON) The federal misprision of felony statute is usually used only in prosecutions against defendants who have a special duty to report a crime, such as a government official.[12]

This is a well written, informative summary of the whole mess. I appreciate Gregg Jarrett’s reporting.

I saw that and it proves the MSM is nothing but scum.

It should be mandatory watching for any talking head in the media.

Hat’s off to Levin and his guest Paul Kengor.

Fox news usually posts transcripts of Levin’s shows.

I highly recommend it.

It should be in the news, but of course it won’t be. But it needs to be talked about.

It was a very important show.. I looked for a transcript and could not find any yet. It’s on youtube but I wanted to post a transcript.

Your Post indicated the need for prosecutions in IRS. You are correct. Let me give you a little history. IRS CID stated they could recover the data erased by Hitlery, and they could! Instead the work was given to the FIBs; good luck with them. (NSA has a recording of ALL electronic communications, including Hillary's missing emails. ASK THE NSA FOR THE DOCUMENTS.)

In the 1980's, a reorganization back to a format that Centralized Authority began. Fostered by "Congress", IMHO a precursor of a set up for Obama. The same format was found corrupt in the 1950s and gave rise to Internal Security, split from the then Intelligence Division, now called CID.

One, only the Commissioner, was an appointed position. That was bastardized by taking "EXECUTIVES" from other agencies. "If you can manage a program, you can manger anywhere." BS None had the knowledge or ethics of the original executives they replaced. The originals knew the agency, rules, laws etc. Many were political appointments into their home agency and transferred to IRS, e.g. L. LERNER.

When they abolished Internal Security (IS), it was after a Congressional "Dog and Pony" show complete with false allegations as to IS ability. The predetermined goal was obvious. IS was absorbed into TIGTA. (TIGTA: Treasury Inspector General, Tax Admin.)

Districts were consolidated/abolished and the number of directors decreased. This facilitated the creation and centralization of power in fewer hands.(Socialists need centralized power. The power (read corruption) was in DC, but L.Lerner and others were not physically in the National Office. IRS needs to be returned to a MANDATORY (by law) STRUCTURE as it was after 1951 and those who broke the law prosecuted.

It seems to me that the Congressional "Investigations" have done nothing to cause a prosecution but to allow the statutes to expire on the crimes of those involved. If a fish stinks, it stinks at the head as well as any where else.

"WACO, Ruby Ridge," Your post was right on. However the FIBs are even worse than that. They need to be removed from DOJ to preclude a Comey run amuck or standing in for the AG.

Hoover took over a corrupt FBI, that was corrupt from the beginning. Hoover 'libraried" everything, then turned that against Congress (black mail, if you will)

Hoover said there is "No such thing as Organized Crime". The Federal Bureau of Narcotics broke that myth with Joe Valachi. seems Sam Giancana had photos of J.edger in bed with his #2, yup, just like the movie showed. So their HQ is named the Hoover Building (LOL).

After Kennedy was assassinated, the FIBs said "We are in charge here." 10 Days after JFK was shot a letter (believed from an FBI Agent) arrived at the SS. (Check internet for something I heard on a relative timely basis.) They could not find an reason for the pristine bullet on the gurney; lost Kennedy's Brain and took years to announce there was a 4th shot at Dealey Plaza. (Where from and by whom?) The first rule of assassination is "kill the assassin",Ruby did.

Bush after 9-11 Cooperate with other agencies. Lasted 3 months.

Whitey Bulger - convicted after the FBI was replaced by a special Task Force. While their informant, killed 2 and put 4 in prison (Mueller was Dir FIB then) based on a frame by Bulger to eliminate competition.

Unable to find CIA mole Aimes.

Then we can go on and on. Trump Frame up, false FISA warrant, Hillary non prosecution; Sedition; and so on. As far as I know there were only 2 FIB Directors of any note before the current one.
