Was it in the best interest of families that the USA maintained the lowest tariff rates in the world ( with a very few exceptions ) causing our factories to close and millions to lose their jobs and homes over the last 20 years?

Open borders are not in the best interest of families. For instance, because of the opioid flow through our southern border, black culture has transformed into drug culture.
How can it be a Trump Shutdown when nothing has made it to his desk to veto? The only bill that had a chance to pass was being filibustered (if one calls what they do a filibuster) by Schumer. It’s a Schumer Shutdown if it’s anything.
