Ocasio-Cortez didn’t get a seat on the powerful tax writing committee she sought to push her progressive agenda of Medicare for All, free college tuition and a green new deal. Instead, the New York slot on the House Ways and Means went to a moderate Democrat, Long Island Rep. Tom Suozzi, a former CPA, attorney and county executive. Suozzi will assume the committee seat of Rep. Joe Crowley, the Queens Democrat Ocasio-Cortez defeated last year in a stunning upset.
Ocasio-Cortez sought the spot (which is usually off limits to freshman reps) with the backing of progressive groups that pushed for a slate of fresh-faced candidates to earn posh assignments.
Michigan Rep. Somali Muslim, Rashida Tlaib, made a play for Appropriations, but she too was passed over.

If I didn’t know anything about her, if I hadn’t heard her speak, I’d find her very attractive. She reminds me of Evita Perrone. Not that I found Perrone attractive, but because she captured the hearts of millions even though she was a very evil woman. Somehow, you don’t usually find nice women capturing the hearts of millions and also wielding political power. Margarette Thatcher and Golda Meir wielded political power and did a good job of it, but I don’t think either “captured” any hearts. They plucked intellectual strings rather than emotional strings.

I understand Pelosi immediately appointed Ocasio-Cortez to work in the Demodummie’s coffee shop (she’s an ex-bartender) and the Muzzie from Michigan to emptying trash cans (she’s good with “trash”)
There was a “Babylon 5” episode where a theocratic race had created technology to enforce the religious purity of their people. The technology wiped out every last member of the species, because in the opinion of the technology, nobody was pure enough.
This is the Left today. Notice how the various special interest groups attack each other. Lesbians hate trans-women. The black Left doesn’t get along with the Hispanic Left. They remind me of that Babylon 5 episode. When the Left was under the firm control of the Clinton centrists, it was a disciplined machine that consistently won elections. Now, I expect the most challenges to Democrats will be other Democrats. The primaries in California are an example of what is to come.
I don’t find Occasional-Kotex either beautiful or evil. She’s completely uneducated and strident, and she’s got enough teeth to “volunteer” at the local beaver dam, helping to knaw down trees.

A/O/C could also use her invaluable experience as a bartender to tend bar at Congress’ perennial cocktail parties on Capitol Hill .....to which they all gravitate after-hours.

They both aptly represent the DEMON RAT party, but the DEMON RAT party is still trying to hide who and what they REALLY ARE from the American voter. Fortunately it is too late, that horse has left the barn.

In other words the seat went to someone who is qualified.
Freshman congress critters rarely ever get in these positions anyway.
