Hundreds of furloughed federal workers, contractors, union representatives and supporters gathered in the brisk wind and bitter cold Thursday to demand government leaders “end this shutdown.”
Leaders of the National Federation of Federal Employees said they hoped that bringing federal workers to the president’s doorstep would show him whom the shutdown has hurt most. President Trump, though, wasn’t there to see them, having left earlier in the day to visit the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas.
“We want to send a very strong message — that this is not about politics, it’s about getting people back to work,” said Brittany Holder, a spokeswoman for the NFFE and a protest organizer. “A lot of the county thinks federal workers are all here in the D.C. area, but it’s only 15 percent. If you’re living paycheck to paycheck to make ends meet, and suddenly the paychecks stop? People are feeling really stressed and anxious, and they want to know when this will end.”
Protesters, who packed the street outside the AFL-CIO building on 16th Street NW, held signs that declared “I want to go back to work,” and “Congress: Do your job so we can do ours.” The protest came on the 20th day of a partial shutdown that has left nine federal departments and several agencies closed since Dec. 22.
The group began to march about 1:20 p.m. to the White House, calling on Trump to reopen the government with or without funding he has requested for a border wall.

They TARGET President Trump, because 99.9 percent of federal “workers” (LOL - those useless idiots wouldn’t know what real work is if it smacked them in head!) are Democrats ... IOW: They are Communist used ass wipes. They “work” for the Deep State. They hate the idea of a Representative Constitutional Republic. They prefer and live for the day when America is subordinate to a one world dictatorship, where George Soros and the United Nations call the shots, and where every American - save for them - is a slave in the Globalist Gulag.
They are at the wrong place, they should be converging on the Capitol.
The correct answer is: Because the Union is making them do it.

Can’t they collect unemployment? Plus someone told me they HAVE been getting paid and tomorrow is the first Friday they do not.
The moochers need to protest at sheckles schumer’s, and nazi nancy’s offices.
Government workers (local, state, federal) in general shouldn’t be unionized.
If these people were smart they would be looking for work elsewhere , not protesting. Even if they have to take something beneath themselves it would be worth it in the end. Money now instead of bitching (at the wrong target no less) with the inevitable return to their plush non-essential position with back pay. Total waste of energy.
The two of them remind me of Johnny Knoxville’s character “Scrad” in MIB II.

The only time they likely ever "worked" was on some RAT's election campaign, and their federal "job" was a reward for a job well done as a good soldier....and of course they are called back into action every campaign season, where they work tirelessly on the taxpayer's dime....a RAT campaign army, to elect democRATs....and perpetuate their own "jobs".
If the 80% of the "workers"...those that do nothing at their "jobs"...were to be let go, government effiency would not be affected one whit. And even that remaining 20% would still be far too much government. Any department or agency that has a counterpart at the state level is not needed at the federal level. Most of the non-military bureacracy is nothing more nor less than a massive wealth re-distribution systerm.
The bureaucRATS at any level of government are the ultimate elite parasites.

The last 3-5 furloughs I didn’t get unemployment compensation. Used my paid time off or borrowed some money.
This time I’m actually getting my first real vacation since the 90’s, not counting a heart attack (2002 (3 months off) and cardiac arrest 2009 (3 months off). Lived off of disability insurance and my kids had sold some stocks to pay for my funeral (fooled everyone; recovered). Will apply for unemployment compensation because I’ve been sick for the last couple of weeks and need to cover some medical expenses not covered by insurance.
You also have family to help you. We do that in our family to the best of our ability (Daughter now on furlough though, like me, on stand-by status - both of us work in either national security areas or related legal fields; son is working - national security work: son-in-law working on NS related construction).
Time to build the damned wall and deport all Democrat congressional members.
Gotta feel sorry for these six figure bozos who couldn’t work a full 40 hours if their lives depended on it.90% are deep state rats to begin with....
This article posting gives me fear, but it must be said. I have worked for the Federal government and know for a fact that Federal employees, almost all of them, have an intense dislike for conservatives and Trump in particular. They may come after me and probably will in some form or fashion, but someone has to make a sacrifice to get the truth out.
If people could only see what it is like on the inside, they would be in shock at the hatred harbored for everyday Americans. Those in supervisory positions absolutely will not tolerate ANYONE challenging their power and are far more ruthless than ordinary bosses. If ordinary Americans are suffering some kind of loss either through disaster or income, the government does not care. The only action taken to help anyone is through force of law or demand, not from a genuine desire to help anyone. The only thought is "How is this going to help ME if I do something for someone else."
The Democrat leadership, and Federal supervisors, care absolutely nothing about the common American citizen OR Federal worker and only are concerned about their own power. Thus, they do not care if Federal workers are not paid, but only about achieving political gains. They also do not care anything at all about the illegal aliens or blacks or anyone else and only advocate for them to further their own power.
If only I could get protection, I could reveal FAR more about what is going on. However, I've discovered in the past that no one is going to step forward and protect me for telling the truth.
I see well organized protests by “supposedly” govt employees, which I believe are really organized by Democrats in Congress to force President Trump’s hand to give in. Someone needs to remind those protesters that Congress is the one who appropriates the money. It’s more Pelosi and Shumer’s fault than it is Trump’s.
