21 bodies found in Mexican town on Texas border

Mexico City -- Mexican authorities said Thursday that 21 bodies, some burned, have been found in the northern Mexico border state of Tamaulipas in what appears to have been a clash between drug gangs. The bodies were found near the remains of seven burned-out vehicles near the border town of Miguel Aleman.

The total population of the surrounding municipality was 27,015.

A very good friend of mine is a seventh day adventist and used to do missionary work into Mexico. He won’t go anymore, he said it is too dangerous. He said it’s not so bad once you get into the interior, but the getting there safe past the first hundred miles along the border is almost impossible. “it’s a war zone” are his words.
