A suspect has reportedly been taken into custody in connection with the shooting death of Jazmine Barnes, a 7-year-old Texas girl who was struck by a bullet while traveling in a car with her family on Dec. 30.
A second suspect may be in custody as well, multiple sources told Houston’s FOX 26.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office issued a Twitter message saying only that the case had "taken a new direction," with "persons of interest" being interviewed...l
...Police earlier this week released an artist’s sketch of a possible suspect, but KTRK reported that sources said the suspect who was apprehended does not resemble the drawing.

My guess is Mom is associated with a gang, and the shooting was gang related.
Well, apparently the “person of interest” has now been charged and has admitted his involvement.

According to Fox 26 Houston, capital murder charges have been filed and the suspect is black.
To be fair, there has been more than one white chick who claimed “it was a black man who kidnapped my kids” type of BS, and it always falls apart under questioning right away. This story had that same kind of odor too.

I wonder, nah surely not, if they decided this before the shooter turned black as a lump of coal?
How sad. What a miserable life, not only for Jazmine's family but those who would have been the targets.

Though authorities do not know the motive behind the shooting, Washington strongly believes the suspect knew he was shooting at “a black mother and her four girls in the car.”
“I don’t have tinted windows, and that man pulled up slowly next to me before shooting. He knew what he was doing, and he knew who was in the car,” she said.
The mother’s story was too phony to be believed. The 15 yr old sister of the victim would not have seen that the murderer had green eyes as he sped passed in his truck. Perhaps they were planning a big take from their GoFundMe page. Too bad about the little girl’s death, but this story was a lie from the get-go.
