As reported here on Townhall by my boss Matt, President Trump made a special appearance this evening in the White House briefing room where he congratulated Nancy Pelosi on becoming Speaker of The House while also speaking to his main point of urging Democrats to support and fund the wall.
Trump yet again stated that without a wall, you couldn't have a secure U.S. and Mexico border. President Trump brought different voices to the table by having former, and current border patrol agents there to speak to why a wall is non-negotiable.
"Without a wall you can not have border security," Trump stated, after statements from border patrol officers.
"Without a very strong form of barrier, call it what you will, but without a wall you can't have border security it won't work," Trump added.

The mainstream media and especially the folks over at CNN freaked out over President Trump not only taking the podium, but became furious by the fact he took zero questions from the press.
CNN White House reporter, Kaitlan Collins, was mainly triggered by President Trump not answering questions.
She wrote on Twitter, "Its not a press briefing if you dont take questions." She was also heard yelling in the background regarding the matter of not answering questions while President Trump and this team was exiting the briefing room.

Brian Stelter, yet again of CNN, also became triggered over President Trump taking no questions after the briefing concluded:
The @PressSec announced a "briefing," but did not hold one. Trump spoke, but left without taking any Q's. A reporter shouted: "Sarah, are you coming back? Are you not taking any questions at all?" She didn't. Brian Stelter (@brianstelter) January 3, 2019
And more outrage from CNN reporters over the briefing came later:
President Trump leaves briefing room without taking questions -- making it crystal clear that it was a political dog-and-pony show, rather than an attempt to answer questions about opening the government. This afternoon President Trump tweeted this video stressing the importance of building a wall:

he totally slicked em...had they known he was gonna just leave after the agents made the case..they never would have covered it....he played them like a violin.
He should have let the border patrol agents take questions. Over the course of an hour, they would be able to explain through answers what is going on at the border. I feel it was a missed opportunity. I wanted them to explain what they see everyday.
Folks I’m pretty sure we’re being monitored by the swamp rat law enforcement at the federal and Blue state levels.
I’d keep the free speech fire breathing at the tossing rotten tomatoes level.
Thanks again Amazon and silicon valley!
He gave them a “briefing”. That’s what it is called. A “Q&A” is something else and not obligatory.
Somebody send CNN a dictionary, ASAP, on the assumption that they can actually read and look up the meaning of a word.
It means he did not want a dog-and-pony show!
Bookmarking.
I knew this 20+ yeaRS AGO!
Too funny - some of the best briefings I ever gave or got were terse and did not entail letting the enemy waste time with irrelevant questions....
Bottom line, the twits got their briefs in a bunch.
Actually, you can brief people without taking questions. Briefing someone is giving them information.
This is the spin. This is the narrative. Instead of reporting on what Presixent Trump said, they are reporting on him not taking questions.
They earn their “corrupt” moniker each and every day.
“They do not need sympathy. They need a massive downsizing.”
Since you have experience working for the federal government may I ask a serious and respectful question? What percentage of hours of federal employment are actually worth paying for?
Press Briefing = He Briefed them while keeping it brief!
Man, I love this guy! MAGA! :)
Two things the stupid CNN twit needs to learn:
Briefing = for information only
Conference = discussion of information
No point to that. Like the 'reporting,' they make it up as they go.
Seriously, do they NOT know the difference between a “Press Briefing” and a “Press Conference”?
This is because the “daily press briefing” includes a question period afterwards.
