My condolences. I am sure it seems much more recent. Take care.

Kagan and Sotomayor are or were smokers. And Scalia famously. Have never heard that RBG was ever a smoker though.

I hear ya.
I just don’t want us to stoop to the point the Leftists have.
She’s a pox on the nation right now, but she was appointed and there’s nothing we can do about it.

I agree with regard to McCain. Ruth is past her prime now too.
She should move on, but one way or another she will soon.
Soon enough? Well...

Thank you for analyzing the construction of the article on rbg. I could not have stomached it. You did readers a real service.
Might she soon have a wonderful retirement.

Bless her for fighting cancer. The woman has more lives than nine cats. I wish my wife could have had one of them.

"...I could not even imagine the hordes of evil minions that would emerge clawing on the SCOTUS doors..." Kavanaugh replaced Kennedy, supposedly a "swing vote", and you saw the chit-storm the left raised.
If RBG-(a democrat icon)-goes down, the left will unleash a production that will make the Kavanaugh confirmation look like good natured Friars Roast.

This kind of thing is why it's an excellent policy for FR to allow posting of any non-obscene article from leftist sources, fake news though many of them may be. It's particularly true for the NYT because the NYT is the/i> source for those who regard themselves as the super-sophisticated in-crowd. Thus, it's the one that gives the first coded messages as to the party line and, when necessary, what's really going to be happening. They followed their policy and spilled the beans on RBG in this article.

She is reportedly now fit as fiddle - but being a good sport, she is giving her usual sparring partner an extra day off after Christmas anyway. He needs the rest - she has been working him hard.

Im with you good buddy. I always wish those people who want to destroy our way of life and work tirelessly to convert the USA to a totalitarian communist state and destroy the Bill of Rights the best of health. Wouldnt it be wonderful if she were able to legislate from the bench for another decade or two. Im really looking forward to total civilian disarmament, being told what Im allows to say and what Im not allowed to say, and if anyone is pivotal in doing that its Ginsburg.
